i test drove a 2025 Explorer ST last night and when you put the signal light on it changed lanes with blue cruise active. Not sure what version it had but it worked well.

I wouldn’t mind having auto Lane change if it worked decent, on long straight stretches here in CA I could actually see this being useful. What I’m more interested in with 1.5 is if it reduces random disengagements - building off 1.4. I’m on 1.2 and I can tell you this is single handedly the most annoying part about bluecruise, and after my free trial ends if I am not able to upgrade to 1.3/1.4 at least I do not see myself wanting to spend the money on it

The reduced lane ping pong effect in the current version makes it well with it even if only using adaptive cruise. I enjoyed it before but was always annoyed by the lane weave. Now it is near perfect. I really hoped this would have been pushed to everyone by now but the MME kept dying trying to update.

I don't mind having to pay something to use Blue Cruise because there is a reoccurring engineering cost to Ford to improve it, add roads, etc. In 2.5 years I don't think my '22 has gotten any updates I do not believe. Definitely nothing substantial. For some reason I was under the assumption I had BC 1.2 on my truck but looking at that roadmap I definitely don't because it doesn't have the lane change assist. Ford needs to figure out the software side of things if they expect people to pay a subscription fee to use it.

I have been having all these features and more with Comma Ai. On my 2022 Platinum. Not waiting on ford for anything.
How difficult was this to install in the vehicle? I was considering this option, but I am not overly technical, and haven't really seen a good how to (that I could find) on installing it. Is it plug and play to the truck? Does it work with all existing hardware without having to install additional things?

Absolutely it’s plug and play and very easy installed. Then you just follow calibration and enter the url and your off to the races. Just hit cruise button and let go. No additional hardware as long as you have the lane assist.

BC 1.5 sounds great, but how about they fix the OTA issues / push the OTA updates so people who bought vehicles with 1.2 - 1.3 - 1.4 can get those too? Hoping everyone has a great day and rest of your week!!!
Don't forget those of us still on 1.0! :p

2023 Platinum purchased 16 months ago.

Any updates on BC 1.5 Forscan codes and/or needed software deployments?

I'm fully updated at 1.4 now and wondering if 1.5 will ever come to pre-2025 gen14 F150s

How do I determine what BC I have on my 21 Platinum?

Next regarding the auto lane change, its on my wife's 25 Explorer. Its wicked but be very careful and not do it near an exit!!!!!!!

Does the explorer change lanes automatically if following a slow person or does she have to signal? I was pretty sure only Mach Es came with 1.5 (if even activated yet)

Be cool to get a Forscan dump of that car if it truly has 1.5 so we can see what setting activates it.

As for BC version, you can tell by what it does. Do you have the lane repositioning and predictive speed assist? Those are 1.4 telltale sign, for example.

You should know that Ford is offering Bluecruise free for another year! On the Forspass app, go to where you buy Bluecruise and click on the $0/12 month option.
