Looks like Ford just released 5.13 to the masses and it’s only a bug fix release with no mention of climate controls.

This morning I opened up my Fordpass to remote start and noticed I had received a TCU update. I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to remote start it after that as all previous updates required a normal cycle before remote start worked (though I can't recall if that was just with the fob). Well it remote started just fine, and climate controls appeared after the remote start. v5.12.0 XLT trim

No climate controls. Running software 10.1.1 and FordPass v5.12.0.
It was 7 degrees this morning, so I really wanted to see those controls. I really need to quit getting my hopes up, only to be disappointed.

I have the same software versions and a 2024 XLT and the climate control showed up a few days ago. I remote start every day and being able to adjust the temperature is huge, especially since it is going down to the single digits this week with several more inches of snow.

Canadian truck running v5.12 FP US app (on iOS 18.3.1), and no dice either.Nothing like that in v5.12.0 on my Canadian ford pass app. Matter of fact I see no changes from 5.10.

I noticed that as well when I got the update last week, I was like, wow, how fancy. Makes one wonder if the app is in-house or outsourced.

Climate control turns on. Heated seat and steering wheel do not activate until I press the start button inside the truck. I am open to the possibility that I missed other settings.
A warm seat and a warm steering wheel - that's all I ask. Not unreasonable for the price paid.

Got a notice of of a software update today so tomorrow I will see what I get. Auto updates scheduled for 1am.

Per FORD's manual:
To adjust the heat settings on a Ford remote start, you can access the vehicle's settings menu through the infotainment system and select "Remote Start Setup" where you can choose to either set the climate control to "Auto" (which will automatically adjust to a preset temperature, usually around 72°F) or "Last Settings" which will use the last climate-control settings when you turned off the car; most Ford models allow you to modify these settings through the FordPass app as well.

Yup, familiar. I have everything on Auto - climate, seats, steering wheel. Are you suggesting that the climate has to be "last setting" in order for Auto seat/wheel to work? Seems odd, but not discounting the possibility.

Love this forum!!! After reading this thread, had to know, so I remote started my 2024 KR, with all settings in the truck set to Auto. Had these controls show up on FordPass V 5.13.0, first the Climate control temp, then when that is touched you get the pop-up showing the steering wheel heat, defroster, and seat heating/cooling controls! I can’t be sure if they were there for a while, or just became available.
