Just to update from my end, my GFHBs have been functioning without issue since I changed the power source for the ballasts.
I need to do something similar as you just haven't figured how I want to get into the fuse box and keep it water tight.

I hear you. So far my hole / RTV is holding up well (no signs of dust, dirt, or water marks.) Since I drilled from the inside of the box at a 45° angle downward to the outside, I'm fairly confident gravity will help prevent infiltration should the silicone ever fail, but I still periodically check up on it (during routine maintenance / inspections.)

Where did you change it to?

The power wire you're referencing is for powering the motors. Mine is powered by the HCM's power wire connected to the HCM power circuit from the BCM.

To install the projectors requires 3 wires running forward, the left and right signal wires and the shared power wire. To trick the HCM I put resistors equalling a voltage value it'd accept for level on the front circuit. For the rear circuit I used a 20k pot "centered" at a voltage it'd accept. There's a range that I didn't bother to determine as to what it's happy with being 'leveled'. Once the centering is done and under normal operation, rotating the pot adjusts the lights up and down. Because the pot's knob can be installed at any position, I put the usual amount of weight in the truck with the beams at a slight down tilt and installed the knob at the center position.

The HCM powering the level sensors (or resistors for that matter) use like 4 or 5 watts on a circuit fused for ~80 watts. Plenty of power for the motors. This didn't take me any trial and error, I built it with a voltmeter and a benchtop power supply. Was pretty easy to figure out. I did buy one of the height sensors, the cheapest I could find so that I could figure out their signal. I initially thought it was PWM but nope, just voltage on a ~20k ohm circuit w 5v as reference.

Was able to run wires to the front and rear leveling sensors and connected the HCM and HCM harness from Ryan.

Getting:

- TCU Code: U211B - Control Module Message Authentication
- HCM Code: U211B - Control Module Message Authentication
- SSCM Code: U2101 - Control Module Configuration Incompatible

Also here is how my HCM looks like, it's missing:

- 734-01-03
- 734-01-04
- 734-02-03
- 734-02-04

What's interested is that prior to installing the HCM and harness from Ryan, and the leveling sensors I was getting the GH Green A to display but obviously no action on the high beams. I then connected the harness, the HCM and the sensors and the green A disappeared.

No action in the high beam.

Any feedback much appreciated.

I have not. Hopefully that solves. Are you able to share how to go about gettinng that done?
I can swap an engine in and out of the truck but Forscan and me are acquaintances at best.
