Maybe this has been covered before (a quick scan thru 2024 didn’t pickup anything), but was thinking about what I WISH was available on my truck.
Here goes! (Let’s not get TOO fired up or spicy, someone’s “need” can be another’s “not”, lol)
- side BLIS for below the window/eye LOS. There’s been more than a few times I’ve come CLOSE to swiping a confrère pillar or some other thing that was 1-2ft high and I either lost track of or didn’t see at all based on bright of vehicle. These things don’t exactly turn on a dime and there’s quite the blind spot, especially under the passenger door window.
- Auto Start/Stop “pause” button on steering wheel. My ASS was disabled (2022 year) but when I’ve had it in rental cars, I can understand the frustration. Especially when you’re waiting to turn left and you really don’t want that delay when crossing over. A button that can be held by thumb on the steering wheel might be a nice feature to disable in those situations.
- 4WS. Ok this one may not be felt by many (just visited Florida and man, are those parking lots spacious!) but in my town, parking lots are tighter and tighter. My nimble Honda Element struggles in most lots! I’ve read some raves of the older GM system and wouldn’t mind that as an option. I’m not hitting major off-road routes, so for me, it’d be nice for my daily driving.
