You need to grow some thicker skin son if you think I made a smart ass comment. Either way I’m done with you
Dang I didn't catch that you were not the original poster. I thought your reply was someone else. So I didn't mean to offend you personally. I apologize.

I see your point but tell that to the wife when its dark in the mornings and early in the afternoons.:)
Well if the disabled lighting doesn't get you to address the low voltage warning, I'm guessing the missus in the dark might? ??

I was disappointed with the keypad as I use it weekly.
When did ford drop the key pad? I use mine every on all my trucks. I have employees that use them and having the key fob hidden inside is convenient.
But you mentioned that dealers can install them. Are they ford keypads or aftermarket?

We’re good…… keep in mind that if these guys aren’t screwing with you, there’s a problem.

I believe the 25s but the folks on here will have to correct me if wrong. Yeah it’s dealer installed but from the photos I’ve seen it’s not like the clean look of the past.

I have to omit that this last week or so with mu truck was been a real challenge. I did normal updates and my cmr went out and I got all sorts of errors from my ipma.
I had to buy a new cmr and I can't get the ipma do do calibrations. I have to take it in to the dealer for other reasons and I'm afraid they will see that I replaced the cmr and swapped out the ipma a year ago.
Then today my battery went dead and when I charged it up my breaks went into park and I couldn't get them to release.
I was working on it this morning before the sun rose and was frustrated at the whole thing. I couldn't vent over the shit I did to the truck but the lack of interior lighting took me over the edge. I should have proof read my messages.
I love my truck. I have 4.
Ha ha. Then I just read that Ford iscdropping the keypad. That key pad is the number one reason I keep buying ford's. At least there is a solution. Sorry if came off sensitive.
I love everyone in this group and am super happy it exists.

It took me a while to get used to them moving the pad from the handle to the window edge. I always thought that was a dumb move. I guess I'm going to find a way to hack a Ford keypad back in if I ever buy a 25 or newer. There are some changes to the 24's that will keep me from buying one. Specifically the encrypted data buss. I don't like not being able to tune and I can't use openpilot so the key pad is not the reason anymore. But I sure like it.

It kind of tickes me off that ford decides to remove over half of the interior lighting. Nothing on the console. Nothing in the foot wells. Ambient lighting gone and the over head lighting is virtually useless.
Then to make matters worse ford's logic to shut off interior lighting first when the battery isn't feeling well is ridiculous. What? The total watts used on the measly 4 overhead lights can't be over 1/2 watt.
I have a led flashlight that puts out twice the lighting of all the dome lights using only 2 AA batteries for 10 hours.

I'm venting because it's dark at 5pm and when I drop something on the floor I can't see a freaking thing.
Or I cant see the cup holders. Let's not talk about the glove box.
Jesus christ ford. Whatd ya save 6 bucks on a 75k truck?

I took a ride in my brother's new RAM.
Night and day different. (See what I did there?
You say ambient lighting is gone. Your profile says you have a 2022 Platinum. My 24 KR has ambient lighting, so I’m assuming your truck should as well. Are you implying that 25 model year trucks have no more ambient lighting on any trim level?

I had a 2017 Lariat, the ambient lighting was better, we had the lighted cupholders and media bin in the front console, a light in the glove box, and I could choose from several different color options. At least they still allow us to choose the brightness or turn them off.

I agree that the interior lighting leaves a little to be desired, especially the rear of the cab, those little lights above each rear door are pretty dim. As far as the battery saver mode disabling the interior lights, well, let’s just say the battery saver mode issue is a thorn in many of our sides!

My night vision sucks, so I need all the bright lights I can get. That’s why I keep a bright ass LED flashlight in the console.

I remember the old days when all we got was one overhead light, I have no problem with the current lighting. I have better things to worry about in life than this.
Right. I had a '63 Chevy Biscayne that only had a switch for the dome on the driver door! I did install another switch on the passenger door.

Yea I have a 22. They deleted the ambient lighting in my truck and I remember a thread where there was talk on how to add it back. I don't the leds. My 16 has ambient lighting. Foot well lighting, glove box. Not this one. Your 24kr has them huh?

I have ambient lighting on my 22 KR. Doesn't do colors like my 2018 did. But the lighting is there.

I think a portion of the ambient is missing. Lower door cubbies and the cup holder. But yeah, the most important, the footwells and upper doors, is there.
