It kind of tickes me off that ford decides to remove over half of the interior lighting. Nothing on the console. Nothing in the foot wells. Ambient lighting gone and the over head lighting is virtually useless.
Then to make matters worse ford's logic to shut off interior lighting first when the battery isn't feeling well is ridiculous. What? The total watts used on the measly 4 overhead lights can't be over 1/2 watt.
I have a led flashlight that puts out twice the lighting of all the dome lights using only 2 AA batteries for 10 hours.

I'm venting because it's dark at 5pm and when I drop something on the floor I can't see a freaking thing.
Or I cant see the cup holders. Let's not talk about the glove box.
Jesus christ ford. Whatd ya save 6 bucks on a 75k truck?

I took a ride in my brother's new RAM.
Night and day different. (See what I did there?

That's kind of snarky. Or did you feel compeled to reply just for the sake of replying?

So, it’s OK for you to whine and bitch about Ford? You make a smart ass Ram comment. Somebody else makes a smart as Ram comment and you get butt hurt?

Come on man you’re better than that…..,

I got the moon roof on mine so the interior lighting is over the door and not centered. It gets very dark in the back but I would not trade that problem for no moon roof. I blame myself.

My comment about ram was to point out that their lighting is superior to ford's equal money.
I wasn't making a smart ass comment but you did.

I agree with the OP, turning off the interior lights seems like a poor move. I went through this on my new 2022 and it took a few trips to the dealer to get it fixed by getting the battery replaced.

Ford might be disappointed to know that of the better than 5 decades that they continuously convinced me to swap my current Blue Oval products for the latest and greatest Blue Oval products, they have recently ended that run and have me a completely satisfied customer with their yesteryear products.

Or put another way, it's the first time I find myself looking at the newest offerings and being 100% convinced that what I already have is more appealing.

And it's not one thing. Certainly nothing that stands out. But rather an overall packaging and the value equation associated.

I'm not angry about it. I'm just surprised that it could, and in fact, did happen.

I'm not predicting that it's going to last many more years. Surely a wave of innovation will eventually take place?

I actually don't mind. I consider it at least a pre-emptive indicator that a low voltage issue is developing. It isn't the indicator I'd prefer, perhaps. But it's not going to be unnoticed.

Yep, prices keep going up and Ford keeps cutting stuff out. Cheap ass grille on the XLT, keypad now dealer installed, cheap as fog lights even on Lariat and on and on and on! Ridiculous!!!

I've said it before, I'll say it again- I don't believe quite a few people on here are real. With some of the stuff people complain about, I'm convinced they're Dodge and Chevy bots trying to convince people to not buy Fords.

Some of it is so insanely nitpicky.

You need to grow some thicker skin son if you think I made a smart ass comment. Either way I’m done with you
