Good morning, good afternoon, good evening (pick your poison),

So am planning to add some additional lights to my new truck, have the placement for the lights easy enough, one thing Im fighting with is the placement for the switch inside the truck. Would any know if the panel noted in the photo pops out and can be replaced with a switch / bank of switch's? Trucks brand new 2022 F150 XL and do not want to drill / cut the dash just yet. Figures as the existing vehicle lighting wiring will be in that location it wont be overly hard to run an additional wire to that location. Sure on higher grades that panels used for other functions so any information you can share is highly appreciated.

Watching as that is exactly where I would mount switches for additional lights. I believe that panel does pop out but I am not positive.

Also, which Garmin is that? I just picked up an E3 to replace my 245M.

There are 3 oem switches that fit into that space.

One with 2 buttons for the spotlights on the towing mirrors

One with 2 buttons, one for the tailgate release and one for the 2.2kw ProPower

One with just the tailgate release.

For whatever reason, Non of these specific switches are on the network. So you can buy that panel and the switches and wire them to do whatever you want.

The Mirror spot switches even have a separate feed back wire the will turn the "ON" light on for that switch.

I'm 80% sure you can use 2 of the same switch type. They look the same and interchangable.

I'm using these to hook up my fog lights.

Depending on budget you could go for upfitter switches for that factory look.

Boosted has the wiring kits back in stock last I heard.

This also was thought about, but just do not need that many extra switches, one or two max for a little extra lighting is all thats needed. Plus being in the Middle East I have doubts that any of these garages could do the work to fit them. Wont be paying Ford Middle East prices for the installation thats for sure

here are my notes if that does you any good. I have the same 2 spotlight switch and the single switch factory. So I’m replacing the single tailgate switch with the double spot switch. Using one spot for the tailgate and one for the fogs. That’s why my notes are like that. I also made my own plug in play harness so i don't have to cut the factory wires.

Yep! You'll want the plug WPT-1590 to go along with that.
Cheers fella for the help with that. Now time to annoy the wife with more purchases for the truck lol

This is where I put a switch for some fog pocket lights. Easy to reach when I need them on back roads or at the hunting property. Fits nice and snug most people never even notice it. I'd rather have a factory look but it was cheap, quick and effective.
