2024 F-150 STX
Big project last few days.

I ordered OEM Lariat take off interior off eBay ($229.00) and heated/cooled seat elements ($450.00) from leatherseats.com.

This video was really helpful along with the leatherseats.com install videos:

Passenger seat will be just heated...very easy install of the heating pads. These are 100% compatible with the OEM seat pressure sensor that detects an occupant.

Heated/cooled is much more involved as you have to clearance the foam and then hook up the vents/motors. Not difficult, just takes longer. Leatherseats.com sells this kit with precut templates as an option to ensure you get the foam modifications correct.

You will loose a few of the OEM cover attachment points with the install (in my case, the middle green Velcro ones were blocked), however lots of other videos and threads I have read indicate that this is not a big deal on the overall fitment. You can notice that on the drivers seat, right seat in the pic below, the backrest cover is not as tight in the middle panel. I didn't find it to be a negative on my install and a small tradeoff for a cooled seat!

Back in the truck!

I have not wired up the switches yet as I am waiting for my hill descent control switch to arrive before I pull the dash apart as I don't want to do it twice!

FYI I was lazy and have not done the rear seats yet...but the rear covers were included with the kit I bought. I'm debating going ahead an adding heated seats to the rear...

IMO for less than $700.00 this modification cannot be matched for the upgrade it provides!

Forgot to mention, I swapped over my JLT passenger side catch can off the Raptor. Truck had 250 miles on it at the time. I did my first oil & filter change at 589 miles and second at 3,182. Probably overkill but the filter did have lots of "sparkles" in it during the first change.

Here's the contents of the can with roughly 3k miles on it...I was pretty surprised.

Also I removed the active air dam, motors, and trimmed the remaining air dam along the mounded line in it. I ordered the plug ends mentioned on the forum to correctly waterproof the body side connectors. I'm sure I have the latent codes but no adverse affects or active codes from this mod.

Ended up with about an inch or so trimmed and rounded the edges.

Since I mentioned it previously, here is the XLT leather wheel. I initially tried to just plug and play but had to swap over my STX steering wheel controls. However, I did remove the XLT control trim and swap my controls into it...looks a bit nicer than the black STX one.

And I found a smoking deal I couldn't pass up on some wheels and tires! A guy locally was trading in his truck and parting out what he could. I ended up swapping him my wheels and tires plus some cash for these Icon Rebound Pro beadlock wheels and brand new BFG KO3 tires in 285/75/17. They are a +6 so a small amount of poke but I can live with it.

was looking forward to a long term review on the Maxxis. Some more PTM pieces will really help the exterior.

Yeah I only had them for right at 5k miles. Most of the reviews I found on them when I was looking to purchase were from Australia...they are huge over there!

My 5k mile closeout review would be this...at around $1k shipped from simpletire.com (after a maxxis and military discount) they were about $800 cheaper than BFG KO3. Normally I would only buy BFG as that's my personal preference, but I knew I wasn't keeping the 20s and just wanted something in the interim that didn't break the bank. The Maxxis looked cool, actually rode very well for an E rated tire and were very quiet so far(comparable to BFG).

For the money, I'd rate them a 7/10 whereas I'd give BFG 8/10. My main buying concern is usually a tire that's not crazy loud on the road, will work well offroad and in the wet & also still looks cool.

Great thread! Looking forward to the progress on the heated steering wheel upgrade. That and the heated seats are the 2 main upgrades I want to do on my 24 STX.

Yes, I think right now it seems some of the 24 FORSCAN programming is still up in the air. I'm about to add the auto climate control and do the FX4 downhill assist control with rock crawl mode added...wish me luck
Let us know how this goes. I want to do the same to mine.

Got the Bilstein suspension installed from @Hotshot Offroad

I have done tons of 5100 installs on various trucks and damn these 6112 are massive in comparison! I was happy to remove the 2" Rough Country spacer for some real suspension. During the install I was very surprised to find one of my OE front struts was leaking heavily with only 8k miles on it!

Are you planning on doing the fog lights? I just got a '25 Lariat and it has the XLT fogs now. I'd like to see if anyone else has swapped them and for which ones.

Woke up to this...time for an adventure! And yes, I know some of y'all get this all the time! But in GA it's a big deal :)

IMG_8875.jpg
I'm in GA also. Spent a couple hours doing donuts in a cow pasture in the snow this morning. I'm curious how much front lift do you have now after taking the 2" RC spacers off and putting 6112's on?
