Today I fixed the biggest issue with the STX, the cheap rubber steering wheel. I replaced it with an OEM leather wheel from beat for $200.

I liked the aluminum colored trim the new wheel came with vs the black one on the STX but the buttons on the new wheel were different. No biggie only 3 screws in each side hold the buttons to the trim so I swapped them. Much better

You're already wired for a power seat which is a really nice upgrade. The seat height in the STX feels like it's set for someone 5'1". You can find 8-way and 10-way seats for a couple hundred bucks through most recyclers. Just make sure it's a cloth seat from an XLT so it won't have the seat modules that would make it not work.

Upholstery and cushions come off together in about 10 minutes going slowly. Just swap yours over and that's it. Airbag doesn't even need to come out of the pocket just unbolt it from the frame.

I installed the gloss black window trim from Maxzina. I never liked the rubbery looking trim the truck came with so I gave these a try. They look great. I'm very pleased with them. A little bit of glare at times, but not horrible. We'll see how they hold up

I also installed these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DX22QK9P?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
I didn't mind the textured matte door pillars. They didn't scratch or show finger prints. But I figured they wouldn't look right with the Maxzina window trim so I put them on. Hopefully they dont scratch as easily as the OEM ones do

How well is the window trim holding up?

Great. They've been in the hot sun, rained on, bugs and dirt etc. I've washed it a few times as well.
They're still holing in place and look great. Very little if any scratching. I'm pretty impressed with them

Good to know. That factory rubber trim is horrendous if you catch it in the wrong light. Are you a strict handwash guy or have you tried automatics? We have a local automatic that I was skeptical of until I saw that it wasn't harming the wife's car. Now I use it all of the time, but I am always worried of any aftermarket pieces like these.

I hand wash only.
I would be concerned the high pressure water and the brushes would rip them off.
The adhesive holds well, but that's a lot to put it through

Today I installed my console vault from Ford.
I had the half safe in my 2019, but I guess that company doesn't exist anymore and I dont really like the way the other companies half safe mounts. I dont really put much in my console anyway, so this should do fine.

I'd like to figure out a magnet or holster to mount in it, but that can come later.
