I am a new 2024 F-150 PB owner (got in mid-October). I would LOVE to use this app to get more insight into how things are running, but I just can't get it working. I have the *.stg file on my phone (iPhone 12), but I don't know how to import it into the software itself. It seems there are many different places in the software you can import data. I thought I had tried them all, but I just cant seem to get this going.

Can anyone please help a newbie out?

Be happy to help, but first I would start fresh, (uninstall/reinstall) just to confirm the 2024 truck is now supported.
Maybe I missed it, but at one time the app wasn't yet capable with the 2024. Seems Ford made some encryption change or something.

Also, have you installed the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury enhanced package? And I'm guessing you would need to try the 2023 package if you are wanting to use the internal PID mapping in the stg file that was shared. But first see if you can get the app to work with your truck using any gauge you add manually that uses the enhanced Ford PID library.

It looks like 2024s are supported, here is what I downloaded in the app:

settings on Home Screen, menu on top right, import settings. If I’m remembering right, I had a rough time saving the file locally in a folder on the phone that the app could access, but seems like saving the stg to my iCloud made for easier importing.

I suspect you may need to also download MY23 Enhanced PIDs and remap some in the .stg. It was built with some SAE PIDs and mostly MY23.

Okay, I understand I may need some updates to the file - I’m a software engineer so I should be okay do that once I can actually get something running.

I was able to import the file (it popped up the success message), but when I go to the Dashboards, I just get a prompt asking if I want to load the default dashboards. If I do that, it does have a layout like the screenshots earlier in the thread, it’s much more basic. How do I get the PB specific dashboards to show?

First, I have not seen anyone confirm my .stg file will work on a 2024 PB. Maybe it will but nobody has confirmed it.

Since you have been messing with the app I suggest you delete the app then download it again to clear out anything previously entered.

Then go to the setting and set up your PB as a 2023 PB. PIDs in the .stg file were selected from the 2023 Ford Enhanced PID's.

Next download the 2023 Ford Enhanced PID's.

The goto "Settings", "Menu" and download the .stg overwriting everything when given the choice. You should be able to download the .stg file from "File System, iCloud or Dropbox". I have only used Dropbox so I know it works.

Good luck. Let us know if it works on your 2024 PB.

Most of us just drive pickup trucks we are not software engineers so you should be able to get it running.

Been a PB 1.5 user since I picked up my truck at Granger in June. Had to individually map most of them at that time, but managed to get it all working on my 2024.

Imported the .stg for the 2.0, and the dashboard worked flawlessly. Every PID worked with the 2024 enhanced package except the PPOB info.

Will start working on that now…

Good news for 2024 PB owners. Now for 2025.

Any tips on the PPOB PIDs? I’m thinking I may need to start from scratch with the app and PID packages. I have nothing like yours in the DC/AC module.

I can download the STG file to my iPhone and I can see it in the file browser. However in the OBD Link app, the STG file is grayed out and it won’t let me select it.

Yes, see post #18. Rescan the network with the MX2+ connected.

I think PPoB has to be on to show voltages on A and B circuit. Just like the Sync display of PPoB Ford does not show watts used until draw is higher than 200 watts or 1.7 amps.

Okay so I got the network scanned, the PPOB PIDs are showing in the PID log in the DC/AC module now. This is all on the 2024 enhanced package PIDs on my 2024 PB.

But… now when I go to import the dashboard template, I can’t select it? It is now grayed out. Worked flawlessly 12 hours ago. Doesn’t matter if I save it in iCloud or in the files.
