My new Whippled RCSB

I’ve been trying to get one of these for a while now. it’s a 2wd as I have another 4wd. It’s my first new truck since 2013. I thought I was getting the black bumpers and steel wheels. The salesman must have misspoke when asked which package it was. This throws off my whole plan for the truck. I was going to rock the steelies indefinitely. I want it to look stock. Not because I’m going to be racing or anything. I just like to blend in in general. Now I’m considering a XLT grill with the chrome insert and oem chrome wheels.

Regardless I’m super happy with the truck. Mods so far are the Whipple, Ford Performance lowering kit and Roush cat back. I’d like to go an inch or more lower in the rear, but I don’t know of a way to do that without switching it up completely. I’ve ordered the JLT oil seperator, stubby antennae and a phone mount. The windows are tinted. That will be it until after Christmas.

I forgot to mention that I’ve worked in the car wash and detail business for twenty years. I remember the first time ai saw the color Atlas Blue. I thought it was the ugliest shade of Blue I’d ever seen. I remember thinking WTH Ford. Could they have picked an uglier shade? Like with other designs and colors it grew on me and I knew I wanted one. It shines up well and will look good parked out front.

Great looking truck! I'd like to get one that color too. Was your salesman at Lebanon by any chance Logan? Great guy, I almost bought a truck from them through him, ended up getting the ram I'm now lemon lawing instead.

I talked with Logan for a while in 2023, but was unable to get one and then the Whipple for the 24’s wasn’t available until mid 24. I saw a FB post that they had a 2wd available. When I called I spoke to Cameron. I think Logan wasn’t there for whatever reason so I ended up dealing with Cameron. I felt bad about it since Logan was super patient and answered a ton of my questions, but I wanted to get the ball rolling before it was sold.

Cameron is actually their performance guy if I remember correctly. I had actually put a deposit down on a blue '24 xl rcsb 4x4 301 truck (like you, I didn't want aluminum wheels or chrome bumpers). One thing I didn't too much like is that Lebanon won't come down a penny off sticker on the rcsb's. I don't blame them, but that was a little annoying. Then I psyched myself out of getting a truck with a whipple put on at a dealer I can't take it to if there are any problems (I live in Iowa). So, I bought a '25 ram laramie locally and got a lemon. I won't pollute this thread with all that, but that's it in a nutshell. But yeah, Logan seems to be a really good guy. Cameron is cool too.

A quick question- what do you need a phone mount for? With all the stuff hooked up to your screen, I've never needed to take my phone out of my pocket.

Fair question. I guess I need to learn to use it all. I run a business. I’m not clueless about technology, but not in cars yet. I’m 48 years old and this is my first automatic transmission and only my second car with power locks and windows. ?. Also I’ve only driven it twice including the trip home.

No worries. I'm 48 too. I've had mine for 2 months now, so I was just wondering.

This is only my second car with working AC and third with windows and locks, but the first they've all worked correctly.

Yup, pair BT, and turn it on when you get in and take calls, etc all with the BT.

That truck is sweet. I love seeing pictures of clean RCSB’s. In March, when I ordered mine, I had seen and liked Atlas Blue, and gave it considerable consideration. The 2024 color chart, shows anti-matter blue as it would be viewed on an outside corner, in screaming direct sunlight, haha, and I chose it.
It is stunning in that screaming direct sunlight, by the way, but rather dark elsewhere but I’ve learned to love it. I sometimes wish I’d gone Atlas, but I can enjoy seeing it on others trucks.
I hope you are enjoying that 5.0/3.73 as much as I am.

I thought they should have just called it blue oval blue lol.

Good luck on the rims if your staying stock keep an eye on FB marketplace stock 20s and tires can be had for around 800$ in my neck of the woods.
