Thank you, got it running now.

Any reason lane keeping assist on and off pops up any time I come to a stop and restart?
It's a quirk of enabling the bluecruise UI. Technically Comma turns off lateral control when at a full stop to keep the calculations in the background for winding up.

First thing I did was disable the blue Cruise toggle, but I haven’t restarted yet. Maybe I need to restart to fix it?

Is there anywhere I can donate to development costs of blue pilot?

If it still does it after a power cycle let me know. I guess I don't pay enough attention to it. Do you have any of the other UI toggles set (sends driver monitoring and lane departure signals to vehicle)?

OK I will try again.
Couple things
I like ACC much better. I no longer have the auto excellent speed limit control.
The distance even when set to aggressive is way to far back. I'm getting cut off because I have 3 car lengths.

Are these things normal for experimental?
When I turned off experimental I didn't regain ACC or speed sign recognition.
Also steeing was disengaged with brake even though the toggle was correct.
I am also having issues with the gap. I usually use ridiculous, now aggressive. It was a bit too big with the older releases imho but it is significantly longer now. I don’t see any effect with toggling that actually. Not much difference between relaxed and aggressive

Have you checked "enable dynamic personality" under the main toggles page? That's a new sunny feature that flowed down to us. We haven't touched the personality profiles in bluepilot, they all come straight from sunnypilot.

I have, yeah.
I think the issue is it doesn’t always apply the logic. I just had it give a long gap on setting it and letting the ACC take control. However, when the stock took over instead of ACC, that’s when the gap worked correctly.

This sentence confuses me a lot. typically we refer to "stock" and "ACC" as using ford adaptive cruise control. We refer to "OP Long" or "long" for using the logic inside of the comma for gas/brake. Are you trying to run stock ACC or OP Long? You can't switch between them without restarting the truck.

I'm following this. I caused a collision three days ago when running the new code.
As I started earlier I felt the gap was way to big. I didn't go into it at the time.
I was on out freeway and a car cut in. The truck applied braking pretty hard. The car behind me had to brake hard and they got hit from behind. I kept going.
I also agree that there is almost no difference in distance between the three settings.
I did notice that my truck reacts faster at farther distance than ACC. Not enough when coming off a ramp at 60mph to warrant using openpilots logic.

Ajzride. I'm going to try stable again. Are the new features going to work if we don't select long? I would be interested in all the Ford stuff but I want to continue ACC.

Gap is one reason.
Speed recognition is another.
I like the idea of more steering torque. I haven't experienced it yet because I felt the need to go back to previous software after last week.

I am so confused by both your and nakedey’s posts. If you turn off op long and use Ford ACC then comma has no impact on gas/brake control. If your only concern is the acceleration then turn off “experimental longitudinal control” and you will be on Ford logic.

So I think what the confusion is that the unit is saying ACC all the time under the DEC setting

how do you toggle between the two settings?

I will try to capture a video of it happening and show you the screen.

I did try staging-rainy (it’s raining in Philly, I thought it was amusing) and used DA as my model, it seemed better on That.
I use DA as I find ND drifts and I end up way too far on the right all the time.

Oh, Okay, I know where you are talking about. That is sunnypilot switching between chill and experimental.

Make sure your toggles look like this screenshot and you will be using Ford for gas/brake.

Rainny had zero changes to the control logic, it only had a change to fingerprint a Chinese Ford Edge.
