What are y’all’s thoughts on the “Auto Hold” feature? Menu setting from “Features” “Driver Assistance” “Auto Hold”. The feature that lets you take your foot off the brake while sitting at a red-light. You like it or not?

I like it, but I hate that it is a menu settings and not a button near the shifter. I don't usually use it because my driveway is an incline so when I start driving I need to tap the gas pedal to release the auto hold, which puts the truck in a much higher speed than I need to drive off the driveway. I usually just slightly release the break to start driving.
So, if this was a physical button like in most cars...I would be able to activate it when needed: traffic light, traffic jam, etc. But "temporarily" activating it (and then de-activate) through several on-screen menus is a major PITA.

The way Ford implemented it in the F-150 makes it useless for me.

It needs to have an easy to reach physical button like most cars (or through the brake pedal like Mercedes) to make that feature flexible enough to be useful.

Unfortunately, Ford cut corners and buried it in menus instead.

I have mine turned off. However, when I feel I need that feature, I used the parking brake.

I use it as I am used to the feature from when I had a BMW X5, however, I agree with this sentiment about the way Ford implemented it. It should be a physical button like the ASS. There have been many times that I wanted to turn it off and it's a PITA, since you have to go through the dang menus.

I will still use it though.

I had it on my 21' Transit 250 and it was terrible, really noticeable jerk when you would leave from a stop, was extra terrible if the auto stop start wasn't disabled. On my 22' F150 auto hold is seamless and always on. Only time it's been a nag is trying to inch to a tow ball or nose into a wall. But now that I trust the cameras this isn't an issue.

I love it and wish all cars had it. Once you get used to it, you will wonder how you lived without it. I'm being dramatic of course, but it really is nice to me.

Mine is on all the time. I've gotten used to how when parking sometimes I stop too early and then have to use a gentle feathering touch to move up a little. I don't have the engine stop and start feature on my 22. was lucky and it was deleted.

I use it. I like it. Yes, I too wish it had a physical button. I set "Driver's Assistance" as the on screen hot button. Two presses to turn it off. You MUST TURN IT OFF before going through automated car washes (the kind that pushes the truck along a track).

EDIT: I have since learned the above isn't completely right, nor completely wrong. You do not have to turn Auto Hold off to go through an automated car wash, though you might find it a good idea to do so. Upon entering the car wash, auto hold will deactivate itself if you physically apply the brake while shifting to neutral. Auto Hold will not deactivate if you shift to neutral without physically applying the brake.

Be mindful of this and you'll not have a problem. I now know it's not necessary, but I'm in the habit of turning off auto hold before entering the car wash.

No you don't have to , truck is in neutral when going through the wash
I like it , just started using it last couple weeks and very convenient. Doesn't need a physical button to turn on and off

I use it in long lines of stop and go traffic. It’s off other times. Nice feature to have when needed.

Love it. Took some getting used to at first like any feature that changes how you do things. Use it on my Mach E too.

I use the button method at some long lights to rest my leg. With cruise control on hold the reset button for a second to brake hold. I don't like it on all the time.
