Just checked out a 2024 GMC Denali Ultimate on a whim.

Have to say the interior of the GMC has my Limited beat in every way... comfort, massaging seats (mine were deleted by Ford), ability to send heat to the seat backs only if desired (butt only on the Limited), wife loving the seats (can't argue...).

Only positives I could think of for the Limited were the power running boards (can kick the switch to put them in stow mode so the dogs can jump in, just maybe, slightly easier) and slightly better gas mileage. We haven't used the Powerboost 7.2K a single time since we bought the truck last year, so that is a non-issue, as well as it is not compatible with the generator panel that is in the house.

Any other plusses for the Limited (don't bother with the 7.2k, we haven't used the Powerboost 7.2K generator a single time since buying and have an 8K standby generator that has worked awesomely in the past.)

At that price point you guys deserve to be more than satisfied with the experience. Both are very nice trucks sir.

The shifter in the GMC though.

I haven't been in the Denali and I know it's different but I hate the regular GM interior, even after the update.

True, the shifter would take, as my daughter would say, "a hot minute" to get used to, but also would not have to worry about stowing the F-150 shifter and having it "glitch". LOL

For the first ever we have several different Half tons that all do the towing hauling (albeit some more then others) but it really comes down to your wallet and looks of truck.

I prefer the shifter in the GMC.

I like how you can roll down all 4 windows at once in the GMC with one button.

The radio in the GMC sucks!

No big sunroof if you like those. The google system not sure I’m a fan of. Need to be signed in to use certain features and Onstar is only free for 3 months then it’s $$. Ya the “new “ Ford app took a dump but it’s free. Still a nice truck with the 6.2 rumble ?

Wife and I are not a big fan of the panoramic sunroof, hell, if I had my way I would not have a sunroof at all. Lol.

Opened the big sunroof on the Limited twice (why, because it came with it), didn't like it either time and haven't opened it since.

The 6.2 exhaust rumble is nice... kinda beats the hell out of the weird "space shippy...ish" sound from the Powerboost in electric mode. Even had a teenager in the Wendy's drive through ask me "What the hell is wrong with your truck? It sounds like it needs fixed."

Oh I forgot to mention…make sure you don’t mind getting smoked by a 22 XLT PB. ?

At least you’ll have really nice seats for the show

Unless you purchase the Car and Driver Denali Ultimate test vehicle which apparently is equipped with a Nitrous bottle judging by the times. ?

So the Denali Ultimate has really nice seats because almost everybody complains that the GMC seats are like blocks of wood, very stiff.

The Denali has soft seats and a beautiful interior, so your sitting in comfort waiting on the tow truck on the side of the road.

I figured I probably wouldn’t use the generator either, which seems like a waste but I’m only looking at the Powerboost for the fuel mileage.
I wish Ford would put this power plant in a 2wd SuperCab, but until then I’m sticking with my Ranger.

I haven’t considered GM trucks, I got burned on a lemon 89 Blazer years back and haven’t considered them since but I do like the styling of their trucks.

It’ll be really interesting to see where the prices fall in comparison of the two. I have been a large Ford proponent for years, as I have owned close to 30 Ford trucks. I priced a bald Lariat and a GMCSLT. The GMC had a bunch more equipment and it was still almost $10,000 less than the Ford. Ford quality has gone way down and the current 2023 STX truck I have is plagued with electrical gremlins. For $10,000, rather take my chances with electrical gremlins in another brand at this point. I’ll have to price up a Denali versus limited.

Sticker for the 2023 Limited was $86,745 (didn't pay that of course); 2024 F-150 Platinum Plus is $88,605, and the 2024 Denali Ultimate is $87,305... so similar prices.

Biggest difference that I see is that GMC dealers are definitely more willing to deal. You can find Ford dealers to give you good discounts, but they seem harder to find. There are a ton of Denali Ultimates in the DFW area for around $77-79, so roughly $8-10k off MSRP. First, good luck finding a Platinum Plus. Second, that pricing is just above what you pay for the few regular 2024 Platinums that are on lots, which tells me that Platinum Plus would be selling well above the Denali Ultimate.

Now a lot of this is inventory. Ford has struggled to produce upper trims for 2024, GMC does not have this issue.
