Hey guys, as you can see in the picture, my half of passenger DRL is very dim, the top portion is operating as normal.
Any ideas?
60k miles, just started doing this, no water damage to be clear.

Mine did the same thing. Same side and part of light. I haven’t figured anything out except replacing the whole assembly, which is expensive. I have a 21 XLT with 52,000 miles. I’ve read some things about replacing the ballast but not real sure. I doubt it would be under the power train warranty. I’ll follow to see what you find out.

Same here. 21 XLT with 43K and the subject light went out. Its a bummer being that LED's are lifetime light assemblys and Ford wont cover warranty for it. This is a big let down.

I’ve ordered a “ballast” to see if it works. Probably won’t but doesn’t hurt to try. Of that doesn’t work, I’ve found a few used headlights to get.

I’m having the same issue with my 2021 XLT on the passenger headlight. A member on the f150 Facebook group recommended swapping the ballast from the fully functional DRL to the defective DRL. If the DRL still malfunctions then the headlight is the problem. I’m unsure on whether it’s difficult to get to the ballast.

So... I tried the ballast switch, and the problem was still there. So, I determined it was the actual DRL. I lucked up and found someone on Marketplace with a '22 headlight for $150. Installed in about 15 minutes, and all the lights are good. Problem solved. Hopefully, this one will last a little longer.

Being as this is fairly common, does anyone know what is actually breaking here or what the cause is? I haven't seen this happen to the projector equipped lights yet. LEDs are supposed to be lifetime bulbs basically. Is it just a bulb burning out from the wrong frequency being applied?

I have a 2022 F150 XLT. Passenger DRL went out about 2 months ago. I called Ford and they said it’s not a recall even though it’s happening to everyone. So I bought a replacement. Expensive. Today the driver side DRL went out. This is absolutely garbage. Any suggestions besides buying another replacement? Ford should take responsibility for this. Definitely would consider a different make of truck on my next purchase.

Wouldn't this be a warranty issue?

Did you ever resolve issue? I'm in the same boat. '21, 63k mile, 20k hours run time
