21 Power Running Board Issue (Motor Maybe?)

I’m having a weird issue with my power running boards. On the passenger side, the step motor will turn in and then quickly turn off when activated. My first thought is the motor? Anyone have any experience with this?

Motors can stop if excessive resistance noted like either a rock stuck in mechanism or lack of lubrication binding the hinge points. If you haven’t I would check for obstructions and try adding some spray lubricant
