Same here. It's my first Ford, and first truck. I'm 68 years of age. I wanted to get a 23 as I wanted a fully loaded truck with a 5.0, and starting with the 24's, Ford only offers a turbo'ed motor with a fully loaded model. It's exactly as I wanted, 5.0 with the 3.73 and all options. I was lucky as they were not building them with the auto shut off at stoplights because of the chip shortage. At 21,000 it is still dead quiet. Not a rattle anywhere. I changed out the Hanooks for a set of Michlin Defender M&S'2's. That was another good move, as its even smoother and quieter than when delivered. At 85 MPH the Truck is like butter. No complaints for me so far. I wish they would have the grab bar above the window instead of above the dash, and I wish they would have put the blinker arrows in the dash down low instead of up in the corners. My steering wheel covers them up and a couple times I have drove for miles not knowing my blinker is on. But if that's all you have to bitch about on a vehicle.... You don't have much to bitch about.
I also hate the blinker arrow locations! I can never see them!

Few dealers are going to let that truck off the lot for the advertised price. They throw out the low price to get you on the lot, then add thousands in dealer add-ons. We have a couple of those dealers in my local area.

I paid 54k for my 23 XLT PB that had a sticker of 65k after discounts. I was a bit upside down on my Hyundai and the OTD price was 61k at 5.9%. I could have taken the 1.9% and lost 7k in rebates. The dealer tacked on a $799 doc fee, in my area the doc fee ranges from $799-$1299.

I am sure that two months from now the 23 discounts will be bigger and the selection will be smaller. I could have waited, but this truck was what I wanted, so no regrets.

If you're not having any major issues I'd keep it. My '24 is probably my last new vehicle purchase as I'm close to retirement

It sounds like you have buyers remorse and didn't get the truck you wanted in the first place. If that is the case and you have the means to do so, get what you want if you can afford it. Life is short and tomorrow is promised to no one so have at it. If you can't afford it or it will pinch you too much each month that you won't be comfortable or you'll have to change something in your lifestyle, then absolutely don't trade.
My advice, if you aren't happy, get that way. If you are happy, quit looking at ads. At the end of the day, you still have a great truck.
Good luck!

Yeah, new trucks aren't selling so and 23s are on the lots still so You'd take a hit. But at the same time you're able to get up to 14k off a 24 so it may wash in the end. How many miles do you have?

The sweet spot for value is 302a w/ cams/bluecruise being part of it. Seats are easy to upgrade to heated/cooled if desired. I have 2 sets I need to get rid of. GA has some pretty good deals on 24s right now With this gen most come with basic BAP which is desperately needed for 302 and under
Do you need whole new seats to get the cooling or is it just a fan with a switch? I like leather too but in the south you end up cooking your legs

Yeah I really do regret not going back in time and getting the lariat for 40 more a month. It is what it is, my fault but I can't go back in time.

I do love the truck. I think after reading everyone's thoughts I'll just be content with that I have, build up some income until something more appealing or a need for it arises.

I'll definitely look around the forums next time before buying

If going off your biggest two complaints, not having 4A or Powerboost, not sure it'd be worth the upgrade.

I live in Ohio and only really use 4A when the roads are covered in snow. I normally don't use Sport mode but will toss the truck in it every now and then just to make sure 4A doesn't have any issues.

As far as Powerboost. It depends on your use case. If you plan on pulling an RV and camping in places where electric isn't available, then it is great for that. You can also set it up with additional equipment to provide back up generation to your house in case you lose power.

My typical driving falls in between 45-75 mph and my overall mpg is only like 21. Sure, I'll have drives close to 24mpg but after 24k miles 20.5-21 is where my average is.

If I were you I'd wait it out until the next gen F150 and PB comes out and look at upgrading then.

Living in NH I have used 4A a total of three times. 4A vs 4hi... meh. Powerboost vs 3.5 ecoboost... I would have taken the 3.5 over the PB in a heartbeat if it was offered on the Limited. My 2018 3.5 averaged 22.3 mpg, PB... 20.1 mpg. Yea...

That's crazy low mpg I thought it'd be much better than that. Yeah I'll definitely hold off till the gen 2 powerboost. Hopefully it'll be a plug in by then.

May be heading to a job site where it will be more feasible to get a camper than an apartment. If that's the case I might consider switching but some good insight thank y'all.

If you do a lot of city driving and/or idling then I don't think the PB can be beat. Highways speeds it's pretty much a EB. There's a midrange in between city and highway where it can get good fuel economy but just like everything else, it just depends.

My work commute is 18-20 miles each way and I pretty much drive 55-60 most of the way. That's most of my driving.

I’d respectfully disagree: I use 4A in all wet weather and find it incredibly useful- just based on the times I forget to engage it in such conditions. Maybe your tires are better in the wet than mine.

Unfortunately I have to drive on i75 to Atlanta most of the time so the city mileage woulda helped a lot. Trying to get out of here though

Same. I put mine in slippery mode which activates 4A. It helps a bit when accelerating from a full stop.

There's a handful of us north of atl -- where you at? A 4a transfer case isn't difficult to obtain/install, neither are heated/cooled seats. I've got 2 sets of H/C seats I've been 'about' to list for like a year now, not my fault time flies too quick

Around the ksu area in Kennesaw. Yeah I've done the research it seems pretty straight forward im just waiting till my warranty goes out or I get a tune. How much do the seats run for? I'm assuming they're leather ?
