Started having a turn icon appear on the dash next to the speed limit several times a day at the exact same spot each time and the truck hits the brakes when it appears. Not sure what this icon means in the video or why the truck would slow down because of it.

It means that the IPMA has detected a turn that has enough curvature the vehicle must slow down to stay in hands free mode.

I was thinking it had something to do with curves but the road is straight and the only slight curve would be the exit I am passing by at the time.

it must be a bug in the map data.

Must be a glitch. It happens at both these exits every day even though I am in the fast lane and not exiting. The first time it happens, the arrow is highlighted green and points to the right and then the second one shown in the video points left and is just gray colored. Right after passing the second exit is a construction zone so maybe that would cause the odd behavior.

That’s about 10 miles from me, maybe I’ll go test it in my truck over the weekend.
I am curious to see if it happens to your truck also.

I assume you turned it on with Forscan so turn it off if it is annoying. That does seem to be a big error in map data. ?‍♂

Everything overall works way better with this version and it almost never shuts off during the 45 minute drive in stop and go traffic coming home. This odd behavior also started right after I paid to reactivate the connected navigation now that I think about how many times it has happened.

I'm not sure if the settings are in the dash for curve slowdown with the Forscan mods. I know I've seen posts of people saying they turned it off because they didn't like that part of it. Maybe they had similar experience to yours?

I have that setting turned off also that changed the vehicles speed based on the speed limit signs but maybe it is back on for some reason after the connected navigation was activated.

The slowing down for curves is part of next generation Bluecruise from my understanding and a separate setting. If it isn't on center screen driver assistance, check the Forscan spreadsheet.

Yea, I turned it off on the touchscreen but still have it enabled. Even with the toggle off, it still slows you down for curves, but no where as aggressively and it is tolerable, but I can see why some would want to disable it completely.

That's interesting. My truck in hands on will take some hair raising turns on winding state highways. Hands on in the truck is much more, shall we call it bold, than what the MME does on less aggressive roads. Both with latest IPMA updates.

My adaptive cruise does not care.
70 MPH around 45 MPH curve, let's go! ?
I can see benefits to the slowdown at curves feature. As long as they don't add in a curve warning nag on the dash we are good.
