I put a multi meter between pin 1 and 5 where the mini usb is soldered to the board on the hub. 5 volts. I put the same meter between power and ground on the usb connector the phone plugs into. Zero volts. This is without the 4 pin connector plugged in at all. With 4 pin connector plugged in same results

Mini usb is the plug that comes from the apim and connects to this module. It’s a standard plug albeit very old and rarely used. That mini usb plug comes from the apim and plugs into this module and delivers usb 5 volt power

THe APIM supplies power to the hub. The usb cable is data transfer only. The 12volts to the hub comes from the APIM.

They use them because they're cheap and not used anymore. The tooling is still around and due to demand it's hella cheap.

Did you check the 4 pin connector for power? I gave you the schematics.

No I will check the 4 pin I didn’t check it because the lights which are powered by the 4 pin work. To me if there is 5 volts on the mini usb cable there is no way that cable isn’t plugged in even if that 5 volt signal isn’t powering the usb it still is a sign that cable is plugged into the apim to have power there. And if the lights are working clearly the 4 pin cable is also getting power. That’s my logic anyway

Any idea what fuse goes to the power on the 4 pin just in case there is no power there?

The only thing the illumination = yes tells you is that 1 ground is connected, and 2 illumination is connected. They come from different areas and only meet there.

No fuse, direct power from APIM, if it has no power there, the APIM is bad. If it has power there, the media bin connector assembly is bad.

Oh ok you mentioned a fuse previously. I am just going home to test the 12v line to see if it’s powered. I hope it is I know the apim is expensive

Yeah, I made an assumption without more clearly looking at the diagram due to fuse layout. I should have referred to the diagram before making a definitive statement on it. My bad

The usb lighting is fed by the illumination circuit. Does not prove power

I am getting 12 volts between illumination and ground with the car off and 14 with the car on. I am getting 16 volts between media power and ground no matter if the car is on or off.

I'm not sure what's supposed to be there and without taking it out or probing my C263 I couldn't ascertain that. @Jesse-Infotainment would know.

Voltage on the illunation circuit with the truck off is normal. The interior lights come on when door is opened.
16 volts is way too high. You may have an issue with the apim. The voltage comes from the apim ..
