@Snakebitten you we're right, soon the low battery and low SOC threads will dry up. Looks like everyone is getting the new Battery optimization software now.

Lots of the rage-threads, if not all, eventually die down. Many of us joined in the new-release era of the Gen14 trucks. I think Ford stated that the 2021 has new part#s for 83% of the vehicle. Unless you purchased one, you would never know just how much your 2018 or 2019 was far more different than a visual refresh.

Anyways, yeah.

And now perhaps the LV SOC?

Imagine if/when Ford has conquered OTA? I mean at some point in the future it will no longer be a bold new concept to vehicle design.

Now we know Ford isn't the only company that has problems down loading software. The cybersecurity company CrowdStrike managed to shut down much of the worlds air traffic, along with hospitals, etc.

Ford bricking some cars and trucks is child's play compared to CrowdStrike bricking much of the worlds air traffic.

"Bricking" is a dodgey term too.

Some of these updates break features in the vehicle, but the vehicle is still functioning as a transportation device getting you from point A to point B, but without all the luxuries that didn't even exist in your previous vehicle. ?

A bricked option, so to speak.

Or put another way, if the update drained the AGM and you are stranded in a parking lot, I agree you got "bricked", so to speak.
But if an update broke Bluecruise,...... Bricked? Not so much. I'm just saying.

I believe the only ones that get "bricked" are the Lightning and Mach E that are in a stuck state unable to drive without FDRS help. Seen a few posts of this happening over last couple years. I don't think any ICE or Powerboost has been stuck in this way.

I'm assuming out of that the extra warnings they added earlier this year for low battery are being removed or adjusted.

Just wanted to post that I have received this update for install tonight, see how it goes…..hopefully the truck starts spitting out gold through the exhaust….one can wish ?

No issues with the update on mine, I allowed it to go through as I’ve had a few phantom window issues

Ahem, not everyone Is getting updates. Last one on my truck was September 19, 2023, and I don‘t expect to get this one either. But , on the good , the truck has been great other than a couple of recalls that were handled well by the Dealer.
