Questions for guys with 20” sport wheels.

You guys who have trucks that came with 20” sport wheels from the factory. Can you tell me about your spare tire/wheel that came on your truck?

Is the wheel a steel 20” wheel? Is it wrapped in the same 275/60 R20 Hankook Dynapro AT2 that came on your wheels? (if that’s not the tire that came on your factory 20” sport wheels what did?)

I swapped the factory wheels/tires on my 2024 RCSB for these 20” sport wheels/tires and I’m looking to see if I want to swap my spare wheel/tire or not. My spare tire isn’t a regular tire (it is a full size tire) it’s a limited range tire though.

I think most are the steel wheel with the goofy spare. except may be the Tremor. but I am just taking a SWAG at it. my ’23 with the chrome 20’s has the same spare setup as you have.

i thought about finding a real wheel/tire for a spare, but in all likely hood if I use the spare I will be driving right to a tire shop anyway.

Is the wheel 20” diameter? Is the tire the same tire as the rest?

Mine has an 18" wheel. The 265/70R/18 that is on it gives it the same 33" height as the 275/60R20's that are on the truck.

^^^ This. I purchased a factory grey 20" ford oem sport wheel off of eBay $200ish.
I then mounted one of my used Hankooks with 20K on it under the truck -- so I have a real spare wheel and real tire. A 20" Sport OEM Alloy wheel with a 275 60 20 Hankook fits under the bed just fine.

The Tire spare ford gives on new trucks is only good for 500 miles - not a 'real tire'
The spare wheel ford gives you is Steel - 17" or 18" with the diameter being the same size as a factory 20" (33" height)

You did kinda what I was wondering about. I don't want a limited distance tire for a spare. I don't mind a steel 18" wheel as long as the spare is the same height and a regular distance tire.

I wasn't sure if Ford gave regular tire spares on any year trucks that came with those wheel/tire combos.

That is weird, yours came with a regular tire but @Babbage came with a limited distance tire and you both have 2021's

Ford does not use "real tires" as spares. Unless someone bought used. I did not.

They use too I just don't know what year they stopped.

I think it depends on what tires your vehicle comes with also. My 2022 F250 tremor had a regular matching spare tire on a steel wheel but that might be because they didn't have a limited distance tire that was the same height.

I have a Maxxis Bravo A/T 265/70/R18...which I hope to replace once I change my current set of tires from 275/60s to 275/65s. Planning on mounting it to an OEM wheel too.
