Unknown wire

I purchased a wrecked 2021 f150 STX 3.5 ecoboost and I have been able to identify everything missing aside from this one wire. It is located on the left (driver) side about the wheel wheel. I can’t seem to find the other end of the wire also. I am guessing some sort of a sensor goes there? Any help in identifying what this wire is for would be greatly appreciated.

Hard to tell with the air box out. Here’s a pic of my 22. There’s a wire going to the air box. Not sure if it will help.

I does seem like it could be the one you pointed out but I do have that one plugged in. From the picture you provided it seems to more likely be the one I circled.

Your pic has that connector on left.

Wire colors might help.

Looks like white/green stripe and brown and ??

Not seeing those on my 2021 but I have a Lariat.

Is there only 3 wires? Looks like brown or black, white and yellow?. Not sure if motor size makes any difference, mine 3.5 eco xlt

Mine is the 3.5 also. Yea there are only 3 wires brown, white/green stripe and yellow

That connector has 4 on my truck. Black, brown, yellow and red. I could not find 3 wires that match yours.

I'm not sure how extensive the changes are but as I understand it Job 1 2021MY trucks are unique. I've been led to believe that Job 2 2021MY, 2022MY and 2023MY trucks all share the same wiring diagrams, but I haven't taken the time to confirm that no other changes were made after 2021.

Not all information systems will distinguish between early and late build 2021MY F150s, and some may only show one set of wiring diagrams that may or may not match your truck.

On my 2021 PB XLT those three wires run to a capped off plug next to the air cleaner box.

@Ricksc Thats not the same connector. I beleive you can see the plug he is asking about in your last photo. Its behind the connector you photographed.
