Ok, I am stumped on this one and figured I would take a shot here to see if anyone can help me before taking an out of warranty trip to the dealer.

I am getting the "Stop safely now" error and am unable to get my powerboost to start at all. It just goes into accessory mode. I have had this issue in the past and have been able to charge the battery then it would start as expected. This time, no such luck. I have also tried to disconnect both batteries, charged each of them outside the truck and even tried a replacement H7. Nothing has worked. I have tried to search the DTCs I am seeing and haven't come up with anything very useful to try.

Anyone have any suggestions?

What app do you have for PIDs?

Would be curious what the HV SOC is?

I'll see what the codes are about here shortly.

Thanks! Just reading them with Forscan. If there is a way to check the HV SOC with it, I am not aware of it

OBDlink app has tons of PIDs for monitoring the HV side of the truck.

I'd get the 12V batteries up to at least 12.3+V

Clear those codes.
Reset the BECM module in Forscan.

And then give it another try.

Hopefully the codes don't throw again and the truck starts

Thanks, that is exactly the process I tried this morning and no luck. Forgot to mention in my first post that I reset teh BECM after putting in the new, fully charged battery and charging the battery under the back seat. Will give it one more try

No luck after another try. I have an ODB Link coming from Amazon for same day delivery. Are there any posts you can point out to get it up and running as quickly as possible to see what I need to? I feel like I have seen you post it before but not finding it ( probably because the frantic nature I am searching!)

Once you launch the OBDlink app, immediately add the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury add-on.

If you purchased the MX+, the + means you already paid for 1 add-on package.

Then start a new dashboard and pick any gauge style you desire, and point that gauge at:

The SOC is normally kept between 42%-63% by the BECM

Certain circumstances can drain it into the high 30's SOC, but somewhere in the 30's there's a threshold that if it gets below it, the truck just stops functioning. And alerts/codes get thrown.

Thanks, I replaced my battery a few months ago. I also grabbed another one this morning to 100% rule that out and it made no difference unfortunately.

I tried a few things I have found here throughout the day-

- Remote starting with key fob
- remote starting with app
- starting in accessory mode then fully starting
-starting in sport mode
- Turning eco idle on and off
- removed the power cables for my sub off my battery
- removed my battery monitor off my battery
- push fuses in
- disconnect both batteries for an hour then try again

I didn’t have a PID with the exact same name but I picked the two that were listed as percentages. I’m guessing the one reading 62.4 is the one I should be looking at?

What year is your truck?

I know some of the PID names changed for the 2023's
But a 2023 can use 2022 PID library.
And you can download multiple years as long as it's still Ford/Lincoln/Mercury

2021. It recognized my truck is being a 21 powerboost right away and started downloading it just took a while

ahh are you suggesting I change from 21 to 22 to get that PID?

I'm sure you have the same PID regardless if the app developer changed its label. But you can try the 2022 library just to see for sure.

I'm just sceptical of your HV battery SOC as being anywhere near 62.4% with you being in Accessory mode for even a few minutes. Accessory mode will normally turn on the DC/DC converter and bleed the HV battery down as it provides voltage to the low voltage side of truck.
