Sporadic Warning Beep When Putting in Reverse

I have a weird situation that is extremely erractic.

I back into my garage. I’d say once or twice a week when I stop in front of my house and put the truck in reverse I get a dash warning balllllinnngg. Balllliinnnngg.

Sounds almost like I don’t know, a seatbelt warning? A door open warning?

Other days I put the truck in reverse and never makes the sound.

If I’m anywhere else and put the truck in reverse it makes no noise. It really only happens maybe 25% of the time only at my house before I back in.

It’s not the parking beepers. It’s not the powerboost backup beeping.

Any ideas? Does the truck warn you if the wheel isn’t perfectly straight? On an incline?

It’s so bizarre.

Only other thing I might notice when it does this is a slight shudder as I start reversing. But again I’ve never ever had this slight shudder except in front of my house.

It’s like the road in front of my driveway makes the truck do weird stuff.

It’s nothing major but I’d love to know what this is. Why it’s random and only in front of my house.

There are side, corner warning sensors that will go off if it thinks you are to close to an object. I’m not talking about the rear camera distance sensor. You can go into vehicle settings and turn this off if you want.

at such frequency, everytime you get in the truck to do this, start recording the gauges before trying it and then we'll all know right after you post the vid

Ok, happened again today (of course right in front of my house... still never ever anywhere else). Some sort of box or warning display pops up on the dash and disappears so quickly I can't even read one word on it.

If I feel like it I'll start recording when I get to the house. Maybe in super slow motion I can see what pops up.

i was actually wondering if it might be the trailer controller. Or the backup assist.

that it only ever occurs in front of my driveway is the oddest thing

My only guess is shifting it before being at a complete stop. Maybe Powerboosts don’t like that. And at home it’s a pretty quick rolling stop to reverse. I do get the slight shudder when it happens.

Is it the sonar intermittently picking something up? I backup past a bush and it will quickly beep and then ignore it.

This is EXACTLY what I get! I'm not sure about the message but yes I get the shudder for sure too.

Nope. It happens in front of my house.
That being said, when it happened a couple days ago I caught a message about drive assist not being available.
That time, I know I hit cruise or some other function on the wheel while backing up and steering.
Paying close attention to my actions now that others reported too.

Ok happened again. I was staring at the screen and that message popped up super fast.
I wanna say it said something about “low speed” at the end of the message.
My confidence is low that that was the message though.

I came to a complete stop before putting in reverse.

I’ve tried to get a video recording but of course every time I record it never does it. Ha.

Hey hey! Finally caught it on video the split second the warning popped up. Got the shudder again as well. And again, right in front of my house.

Any ideas on this one? Gear Selected will Engage at Low Speed very bizarre.....
