Does anyone know if the active motion massage seats can be added after purchase or if they will be a retro fit from ford at a latter date

I have a 502 lariat with power running boards is there additional wiring that I need to add. I know that the seats and can bus run threw them for the power boards unless I am wrong.
I think @Jesse-Infotainment did this with his Lariat.

I swear I'm gonna find a 2.7 and just "Platinumize" it...

Jesse converted an XL to a Lariat while also adding MCS. I converted platinum non MCS seats into raptor MCS as well as modified the foam in the raptor pads. Most of the F150 seats have poor side bolstering on the seats creating a feeling that the outer front corner (left front of seat bottom on drivers side for instance) feels under-supported in some seating positions.

Wings on seat back is a function of max recline being present.

I did MCS in my 22 Lariat. I had to run power to both seats C311/312 pins 13 from C265 pin 35 and run CAN bus from Driver's seat (C311 pins 6&7) to passenger (C312 pins 4&5). You can tell at both seats by looking at the truck side of C311. Got this from @HammaMan diagrams in previous posts.

Does anyone have their factory Lariat heated/cooled seat harness they no longer need? I am looking to convert 302A BAP seats to Lariat heated/cooled and then add PRB. TIA

I dont think Im allowed to post this in the for sale section cuz its not mine... but here is a crashed '21 Platinum that will have every part you need for MCS. At $450 per seat, this is a steal when all collected parts are over $2k new....
Even a bigger steal if you live near there...

Also KR with MCS Seats

Thanks JJ, but have a bunch of parts on order to build a heated/cooled Raptor front seats, long story, but yes I might have gone that route if I could have realized the deal sooner. Anyway, I still am curious if I will need a new harness and if it is the same as the one on Lariats for what I am doing.

Today I finally received the last parts I need for this project. Took FOREVER. I went with Tasca initially and over the course of 3 weeks, they just kept removing parts from the order, telling me they were unavailable. Very frustrating. I was able to source the unavailable parts through Lakeland Ford. They had cheaper prices than the other stealerships. Sourced others from fordpartsgiant.com

What a PITA to get all these parts.

You will need a new harness (Platinum, Limited, KR) as they will have the wiring for the DSM, pump and switch on the side of the seat.

When you emailed me, I thought you were just asking to upgrade your seats for motors, etc. My harnesses that we been emailing about wont do your MCS, just give your power seats\heating and cooling. (Will have to buy the fans for the heating cooling, as well as motors, etc.)

If you find someone that's done the MCS swap, their factory seat harnesses they replaced will work so long as they're pinned for the boards (haven't seen a platinum harness not populated for the boards FWIW, and it's only the driver bottom harness that's unique to it). Easy to check by looking if C315 is fully populated. You've fallen into my seat rabbit hole but I think you will be more than happy for what you're getting. Granted I MCS'd mine, but the price of the parts makes the final bill climb substantially. Once you're done, they'll be that much more comfortable.

I'm getting everything ready to work on this project, to add MCS to my '23 Platinum.

Did any of you disconnect the battery to perform this project?

No need, you disconnect the seats and remove them.

OK. Just wanted to know because on the Tremor forum, where this is discussed, they seemed very adamant about disconnecting the battery and pulling all the airbag fuses. Not quite the same as in here but I had to ask. I tend to be rather cautious.

https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/...-multi-contour-seats-mcs-to-your-truck.15370/
I drove the truck around on one knee w/ no seats. Yeah a bunch of modules will get mad if things are missing and you start it up w/ SRS light because seat belts / airbags / OCSM is missing. The whole kill the 12v system is just made up. There's no magic wireless connection to the seat with its own redundant power. Simply unplug the seat and it's dead, the end.

That was my thinking as well but I'm new to Ford, just spent a buttload on this new truck. I'm inclined to double-check things and make sure I'm not spending a buttload more to fix something I screwed up. LOL
