I have the start x in my 2023. Simple install and uses the stock remote. Never had any problems and when you get in your truck it says insert key and turn to on. Seems to work just like original remote start.

I used a 12volt solutions with my old Tacoma and it worked great. But I am still trying to found a factory solution… Hopefully someone can chime in if that’s possible with forscan…

Upon further research of the StartX for the 24 it does not install behind the glove box. You must remove a few driver side panels and connect to the OBOII port. The stop gap for me is that you must create an online account and send your trucks Key file to their servers. Looks like it's time to order the Ford Perimeter Plus.

L think the Ford Pass app is better because I don't need to look out the window to see if its working. I just swipe the remote start on my phone app and it starts moments later. I have remote start via the key button on my 2014 F-150 and its nice but I hate having to get in range and look out a window to make sure it got the signal. I can remote start my 2024 XL from inside my work without having to look and when I get outside its nice and toasty and the windshield defrosted automatically. Such a great idea by Ford and I don't miss the key button at all.

I have a 24 XL. I also have two keys and the code for those keys. I called ADL HARDWARE in Florida and ordered a refurbished four button remote for my truck and had them cut the key using my key code.
Took about 2-3 minutes to program the new 3rd key using my two original keys and a YT video.
New key with remote start button works great and I use it all the time. Occasionally I still use the Ford Pass App on my phone but my go to is the four button remote.

Wow thats awesome for you! I got a 3rd key fob 4 button programmed that will start the truck but it does not work to remote start on my 24 STX. Dont get me wrong i like the ford pass app, but i live and work in an area with little to no cell service. And to me its much faster on my older f150 to remote start with the fob then with the app
