Can someone help? I swapped my HVAC controls in my 2021 XLT for one with the heated steering wheel control. Everything works except for the heated seat buttons. They light up but don’t turn on the seats. I backed up my HVAC module and programmed to the new one. Any advice? The new HVAC control is the one that has heated and cooled seats (I didn’t enable the cooled seats).

on the trucks that would have had that one those buttons send a signal to the driver seat module to run the heated/cooled seats where the heated seat only one is direct wired to the heating element. I would suggest looking for one from a bronco since those only have heated seats but have an option for heated wheel as well.

As I have a 21, I have the dials with the digital temp display. I don’t think the Bronco has controls with the digital display. I am pretty sure there are people that added the lariat controls to their xlt with only heated seats. Maybe I’m wrong? Jesse, are you out there?!

If all you did was swap out the HVAC controls, this should fix your seats

After more research, looks like my42waffles is correct. I will try what HammaMan said and see if that works and report back

my dads 24 big bend bronco that he got a month ago came with the temp on the controls same with the maverick I ordered but decided against but I think that one is a different setup. dealt with something similar when I added auto climate to my 17 and ended up adding the heated/cooled seat stuff as well.

I wonder if there is a way to make this HVAC control work with a mongoose cable and FDRS. Does anyone know?

Not really. Fdrs doesn’t have the ability to make the smaller changes without manually entering every value and might not like the fact the part doesn’t match what should be there.

Yes, doing a pmi on the module will program it properly.

Looks like this is not possible according to all the research and some PM’s. The question now is, does anyone know the part number for a HVAC control that has heated steering wheel and heated seats only…for a 2021 that has the digital display in the knobs?

You can't do a PMI on a module that is not supposed to be in the truck. If the part number is not in the inventory for your truck the PMI will fail.
