After over a year with no OTA's I've gotten 3 in 2 weeks....apparently the Ford gods have forgiven me for whatever it was I did to them.

For the last few days my truck has indicated that there’s an update scheduled but, whenever I click on details for the scheduled update, it just shows update 23-PU113-UNX-DC which was successfully installed earlier this week.

Do I actually have an update scheduled or is my truck confused?

It’s a phantom update

It is the Ford Gods playing with your mind...LOL. The members on here had decided to call it "The Phantom Update". for some unknown reason, the truck thinks it just received an update and put up the notice.

It's a feature until they fix it with a future update.

I just received 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD and before installing I received a scheduled "inhibited install" notification in Fordpass. When reading the install prerequisites, I noticed a couple of changes in the wording. They nolonger mention that Parking brake needs to be set, now they simply say your foot can't be on the brake pedal. Secondly they now simply say the lights need to be off, where as before they said the headlights needed to be switched off. And in what seems to be a backwards step, it now says that once an update starts you may not be able to lock, unlock, or enter the vehicle. Lol, in one of the future proofing updates we received last year, we were told that now you can enter your vehicle during an inhibited install. Make up your mind Ford!

So this is the static fix that the rest of us with 47 speaker B&O already had? ?

My truck has the B&O 8 speaker system, not the unleased 12 speaker system. So I'm not sure which truck this update is targeted to, @jz777 received this last Friday we need to know which system he has as well, basic, 8 speaker or 12 speaker. @jz777 can you chime in on this?

@Big Dog Daddy I have the same system as you, B&O 8 speaker.

I guess I will not be getting this one.... only have the basic 7 speaker audio system.

@Kanuck the strange thing about this ota is that I just had an FDRS check yesterday and the only available update was the HVAC module. I'm not sure which module this OTA targeted, either the DSP or ACM. But in the past updates like this would always show up in FDRS first before being sent OTA. I'll check the F188 in the morning and let you know.

Ford IT dept is just mad at us because we can figure out what they are doing before they can...LOL They are throwing curves at us trying to confuse us.
