It has more to do with that on the Nav/Expidition the boars sit flush along the whole bodyside. Wheelwell to Wheelwell. I measured the wrong wheelbase. Long looks like it matches on the bolt pattern. I think the board itself would have to be shifted down on the attatchment brackets.

As for the lighting it looks from the schematics that it splices into the puddle lamp circuit in the doors so that could be a pretty simple add.
That's what I figured, same bolt pattern but spaced out more. The boards slide on the brackets so can be moved around, but then you'd need a new/longer rode to run the rear bracket.

Good to know, the connector for it looked different so figured it must hook into something unique for the navigator, but that same circuit is already there so just need to tap into it.

We have a harness coming soon for XLT to add power boards all plug in. I decided to make one for F150 and 23 up super duty.

The only requirement for the harness to be fully plug in is power driver seat. Otherwise you have to grab power and ground.

I’m definitely interested in buying one of these harnesses for my 23 super duty. Please let me know how to do so. Thanks

This is a lot of great info, thanks. I do have a couple questions.

I have seen mostly super duty boards for sale. Can any parts be swapped out to make them stock F-150 height?

@Jesse-Infotainment
Have you guys released the harness for this? I didn’t find it on the website. Will it work for my 302A that I have added platinum seats? They are fully functional except massage on the driver’s seat. I bought the harness and DSM with a limited VIN when I was adding them, so I believe I have the right parts there.

Does anyone know what kind of signal comes out of the DSM to the steps? I was thinking if you can power relays with it so you could control aftermarket steps like OEM. I’m sure there would be a DTC or two in the DSM, but if there’s no light on the dash, that would not concern me.

The harnesses should be here this month.

Ha, same issue I run across, super duty boards are plentiful. Eh, kinda not really on the bracket, it's a whole different bracket so only thing you'd reuse in the board itself. The brackets are the expensive part as well so at that point you're not gaining much.

Just a simple 12V signal, but its a controlled signal from the DSM based off the feedback sensor. Positive one way to extend them, then reverses the signal the other way to store. Then it uses the hall effect sensor to monitor the position. As long as you have the feedback sensor signal there, any boards in theory should work, but getting the right feedback signal to it would be the tricky part.

I am interested in a hardness for sure. I already have the boards.
Will the kick switch at the end of the boards be operational after installing your harness?
Yes we have the kick switch connector. Hope they arrive soon. I sent samples a while back

Do you have an estimated(or firm) cost?
I dont. I don’t get involved in that. I’m sure it will be reasonable we typically aren’t ridiculous on our harness prices

@superfordman. How are you liking the height of the steps you put on?

I measured my buddy’s 2019 150 Platinum and they are 12.5” from the plastic sill plate to the top of the step, so it seems like they are very close to what you measured.

I saw some 21+ in person and watched some YouTube videos and I do not like them.

Was looking at the Amp dual motor and can’t bring myself to spend $2,200. Probably going to go the same route you did.

I completely understand. I had no plan of doing this either. After I read this post my brain wouldn’t process the image of my current running boards in a positive way anymore.

I like them, but they definitely go lower. Much lower than the normal step boards so it takes some getting use to for sure. That's why I'd like to find some 15-20 F150 boards but the super duty ones are a dime a dozen as you found. I can find them on marketplace around me no problem. I measured some F150 ones and if I recall they are about 10.5" from board to sill plate, so not much different, but enough small difference you'd notice. I even found a cheap set of 21+ boards here recently and might try to pick them up if I can, but then again I'm still not a fan of them and how bulky they look.
