@Jesse-Infotainment Progress!

I ran the calibration today and the dash warning about the camera has disappeared, along with the DTC for the 360 cam calibration. So it appears that having the lane keeping camera uncalibrated might trigger the 360 cam DTC?

There is however one remaining issue. There's now a DTC saying the calibration is incorrect. I tried twice and it said it completed successfully.

Is this a case of "just keep trying" until it works? Different section of road or something?

I said several times the 1578 is related to the 360 camera calibration.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding! This is all quite new to me. So does that mean that the center camera did calibrate successfully and now it's to the parking lot for the 360, and if that completes we should be good to go?

EDIT: Also, all my stitching and lane correction etc. I've verified looks good and is working. Is there any issue just leaving the DTC or is it a must do for the system to actually work?

If you're happy with how everything is now, you can leave it as is, but I would just do the 360 calibration jic.

I'm not sure, tbh. I've never done it myself. Fortunately, my truck even with all the extra stuff I've done to it that usually require things to be recalibrated never required that particular calibration procedure.

Only thing I can do is try! If all else fails I'll go back to the dealer and pay for them to calibrate with the mats, but I do fear that they'll try to dance around a bunch of other things first lol. I'll just need to point to the DTC and be like "please do this specific job".

It seems like I have achieved "success by failure". I ran the 360 calibration in a parking lot but it kept failing around 55%. However, when I cleared the DTC and then scanned again for codes it all came up clean. I wonder if simply running the calibration was enough to make the system happy and use the original values? The cams etc. are all working fine, so I think I'll call this a win.

I can always try the calibration again on a larger parking lot when I'm bored, just to see if the stitching gets any better if I can complete the process. My right front is just a hair misaligned, but honestly I don't know if it was like that before or not.

@Jesse-Infotainment I figured I'd go try to calibrate again even though I don't have the DTC anymore, since my stitching isn't perfect. I gave it two tries with no DTC's at the start of the process. At 53-56% it gives me an error, which then also throws a DTC. When I clear the DTC it doesn't come back unless I try to calibrate again and get a failure. Strange that it says it's losing communication with the IPMA. Any thoughts on what might be happening?

I don't see the yellow ! boxes for "calibration in progress" while I'm in the process. Those show up when the Test aborted message comes up. The last image is just showing no codes after clearing and restarting.

Could be that the Forscan method is broken and might need to use FDRS?

That already happened with the brake maintenance mode Ford updated modules beyond what Forscan is able to use.

That already happened with the brake maintenance mode Ford updated modules beyond what Forscan is able to use.
Oh I didn’t know that could be the case. There’s also a Forscan update so I’ll check the notes and see if it mentions anything.

The stitching isn’t so bad that I’d want to pay hours of shop labor but if I can improve it myself I figure it’s kinda fun

FDRS costs money but you can still DIY in parking lot and not mess with dealer.

If the 360 cams are a mess maybe you can talk dealer into fixing it or they may blame your dash cam again. ?‍♂

Since I have FDRS Ive never tried the Forscan 360 calibration. Ive heard form some it works and some it doesnt.

If you own one of these trucks and can afford $500 Id suggest you buy a mongoose. Its almost a requirement at this point
