The IPC update is going through using the USB this time instead of having to CAN it on my truck! I bought 6+ hours of porch beer for nothing...

Well documented here that those work now. I let it install OTA and my truck has never in its life installed any IPC updates without CAN.

Am I able to gain access to PTS like I can FDRS Is there a subscription I can purchase or is this for dealer employees only?

You get access to all the wiring diagrams, all the service bulletins, plus everything Rugedraw can see with the OTA dashboard. It requires you to request access to your truck via email, then put in code that is emailed to you.

All the info there you can get nicely asking Rugedraw or it is already posted on this forum or elsewhere online. I only bought it to poke around trying it, but it isn't something I would throw money at on a regular basis.

I may just do that to have a look around. I bought a year license to FDRS was hoping to be able to do the same for PTS. Rugedraw let me know that the access I am able to get to PTS is not as advanced as dealer employee access so I haven't bothered with it....But for $26 I may just have a look. Thanks.

It does appear to be the same to me with the limitation you can only see vehicle details that owner has given you access. Then it's the same screens he posts here for people. Me and @Big Dog Daddy both just paid $26 to poke around this weekend. Only thing I gained out of it is seeing my truck needs updates to IPMA etc and I'm just waiting to see those hit OTA.

motorcraft service... need to buy a subscription.. like 28.00 for 72 hours... you can only see your truck.. or maybe that's just me on my end..

You mean 3.5.4? You're on Sync 22294, which means you got 3.5.3 and have full screen caprplay/android auto. I see you got a TCU update after that which would be 3.5.4. After that, it has been almost a year since you got an update sent.

That sounds about right, it’s so old it doesn’t even show up in my FordPass app anymore, truck screen does say 3.5.4. In your option Is that normal or is something broken with the comms side of things.

I’ve had a bunch of issues with the trailer brake module and wiring, even the license plate writing and drivers door had to be reprogrammed or replaced. Seems to be all electrical with this thing.

Not getting an update in a year is longer than most people have had to wait, but your truck is well past where job 1 trucks are known to get stuck not getting updates. Just crappy luck, imo.
