Nothing has been sent to you since 6.4.0 failed on 12/4. No need to stress the battery at this time.

I can only see the past 60 days of codes that your truck reports for the cloud, but I see no events recorded in regards to that TSB. Not sure what your concern is as this has not happened to your truck from what I can see in the recent history.

Btw: You have OTA 6.8.0 sitting in your queue as of this morning. If you have auto updates scheduled, it will try to install then.
I had a SSN event, but that was farther back than 60 days. I've been using the two-step start process to avoid that happening again, but my daughter occasionally uses the truck and I didn't want her to get stuck someplace with a SSN. Good to know that the truck is happy and healthy! And yes, I do have auto updates on, and the truck is plugged into a tender.

Good morning,

I have been lurking on the forum for a while as I am currently truck shopping and have decided that the F 150 is the truck which will meet my needs. I have read many pages of this thread and have learned (maybe not understand it all) so much useful information from this forum!

Please forgive my ignorance, but would one be able to glean any useful information when researching a used truck to purchase by accessing this information? I am looking at a used 2023 KR 3.5eb that according to Carfax was in a front collision in which the airbags didn’t deploy. After the accident it went to auction shortly after.

I can provide warranty history, open recalls, and where it sits in terms of software updates, but I would need the VIN.

VIN is 1FTEW1C84PFB46100

That would be awesome Javier! Thank you very much!
Warranty history is very light; only one recorded dealer visit to fix a rattle in the exhaust that was caused by a kinked gasket. OTA history shows update 6.1.0 sent to it on 11/21, so it is not terribly behind in terms of software updates. No open recalls. The truck is not connected to a Fordpass account, so I cannot pull any trouble codes it may have.

@Jimmy Young So a member on another forum found a way to check what modules are pending updates using PTS. I checked it's accuracy using my own truck that only has an ACM update pending, and it was accurate. This makes things SOOOOOO much easier for me.

Ha dang, beat me to it, but I figured you maybe already knew about this! I actually ran across this a couple weeks ago as well, right when the new IPMA updates got pushed out. By accident I clicked around, found this, and was like like wow, this is nice for once. I wondered if it wasn't synced as well as what we see in FDRS to start, but sure enough it is.

This is actually where I first saw the IPMA update for my truck, was messing around, looked in here, saw the green dot, and was like, that can't be right, I just checked it earlier today in FDRS. But sure enough, jumped over to FDRS, and there were the IPMA and PSCM updates ready to go for me. So yes much easier way to check for updates now.

Am I able to gain access to PTS like I can FDRS Is there a subscription I can purchase or is this for dealer employees only?

Yes, but the access to PTS you can buy is no where near as good as the one dealers and I have.

Anyone know why it would say system update fault??
It does not show you got any updates since 12/24. This is the code it recorded today.

If you approach the dealer with features available on other F150s that are missing due to down level SW then they can update and get paid. Not sure of your trim level but Pro Trailer Backup Assist using stickers was added via SW. Also bed camera at speed comes to mind. Alexa built in. Full screen Carplay. Reverse Trailer Guidance PIP. Tailgate double press for "safety." Bluecruise. Others?
Some others have pointed out I should add... Hitch Assist (backs truck ball up to the trailer).

So a surprising number of features have shown up via SW updates. Asking to have one of these "fixes" will give you a better chance of getting updated SW as warranty work by the dealer. Since Reverse Trailer Guidance PIP was in 4.3.6 and that is one of the newer OTAs where you can demonstrate working/not working maybe that is good choice.

Maybe. :)
