This happened to me once at the end of a drive luckily in the parking lot. Got a "Power Steering Loss. Please Tow to Dealer" message in the dash.

Immediately restarted the truck like any good ole engineer and everything has been ok since.

This forscan code showed up though...

Anyone know if this could just be my battery? It was cold and only the second 30m drive since I let it sit for 3 weeks.

9.4V is peculiar, that's for sure.

I agree sir! Would expect this code to be thrown at the beginning of the drive not the end... Or atleast my steering went out at the end of the drive.

I pushed a bunch of fuses in yesterday but not sure that's the culprit.

I also just had a complete loss of power steering (in my PB) yesterday - I remote started the truck via Ford app to let it warm up 5 minutes, got in, hit the brake and push-button started, put it in reverse, but no power steering! Ie the truck engine was running (in the PB it can run on pure electric mode, but in this case it was still warming up so the engine runs) - I could shift, move forward and back, but no power steering.

I put it in park, turned it off and then on again, and power steering was back to normal and all seems well.

Not a big deal while parked, but if this happens while driving it could be scary.

No CEL or other messages (but I have not connected with Forscan or FDRS yet to see if there were any DTCs). I 100% updated the truck via FDRS early this year (and it has received regular OTAs since - up to 6.5.0 now. I had a new battery (about 6 months ago) by the dealer - no issues with low battery volts.

Any suggestions what to look for (in Forscan etc.)?

Not related to your issue, but on remote start, no brake is needed to switch to run. This allows an entering passenger to switch the vehicle to run.

I have lost steering twice in the last month ugh.

The most recent time, the ENGINE shut off too. All 3 occurrences were with a warm engine, after about 10-30m of non highway driving, at the end of my drive in the parking lot while turning the wheel, going <5mph.

Im a little scared to drive it now if I'm losing engine power.

Ive witnessed the following codes in forscan

3rd time it happened:
U3001:68-28 ABS (normal voltage at 12.4 volts)
U0146:09-08 TCU

1st time it happened
U3003:16-28 PSCM
U3003:68-28 PSCM (low voltage at 11.8volts)

A little less confident now that this is the battery, and could maybe be a software or module hardware issue. Now to deal with the "lovely" Ford dealers...

I just had the same thing happen on my 21 F150 King Ranch with the 3.5L TT engine. Luckily I was close to the dealership and drove it there. Odd thing is the steering wheel became off center before I got it to the service department. Is this a recall???

No, that's your adaptive steering that went stupid. Probably battery related.
