You went the long way around, and still have the 'semi rigid' form board flopping around?
So what's the deal with this. Relocate the drain or how's it work. Anything to assist an old man changing oil would be great. Lol.

1. Buy this: https://www.fumotousa.com/f-137.html

2. Buy this (just the middle piece) and install it: https://talonsgarage.com/products/ford-f150-full-skid-plate-package-2015-2023 - NOTICE IT ALSO PROTECTS YOUR OIL PAN AND CATS. RECTANGLE AREA is where the OIL PLUG is available.

3. done.

Notice the rectangular hole in #2 - that's where you move a spring arm (See Product #1) and the oil comes out.

Bonus: No cheap rattle from the snap nuts, no crappy L brackets, No semi rigid form board that will come off and will not protect anything.

Set off alarm by locking doors with button while door open, then unlocking doors with button while door open because I needed to get in back, and opened rear door.

I had no idea that FordPass would give me an alert. Cool!

I got my remote oil vac finished and installed. Custom fitting and bracket with AN-6 fittings. Even had a little emblem made up. Now I can change oil just sitting on the ground. No jacks, no taking those pans off.

how many years before the rubber cracks in the cold winter and lets the oil out? or the rubber hose gets nicked or bitten by a mouse? What kind of vacuum system is needed? Bicycle pump deal? This sounds like a messy hassle, that and depending on the ID of the hose you won't even get all of the old oil out.

Fumoto quick drain valve and a skid plate with access hole for the win.

Just making sure others don't follow your less than optimal idea -- which it must not be as you won't defend or speak to any of the points I brought up.

I didn't respond to your talking points because i didn't want to get into a pissing match. So here we go:

Geesh I did this too - cept I got mine for $33.00 and a proper skid plate. (Talons Garage - link in sig, bonus - they can't steal my cats)

You did nothing like this. You purchased a $33 quick drain system (Nice system too) and if that was installed on my truck I would still need to jack the truck sky high or use a lift to get my large frame under the side steps to get to the valve. Yeah, you don't have to take off the fiber pan to change your oil, buts thats hundreds of dollars I didn't want to spend to STILL have to get under the truck.

You went the long way around, and still have the 'semi rigid' form board flopping around? Complete with rattling snap nuts???

Has nothing to do with anything. If its flopping, I'm unaware of it so its not bothering me at all and if your snap nuts are rattling, They are not tight. This cover is adequate for 80+% of most people. I didn't say great, I said adequate.

Don't know what you are talking about with oil filter, it's EASY, I reach in and un spin it. The square cut out in the factory front skid plate allows it to drip straight down. This is easy, I do have long arms.. I can't get over how many think changing the oil filter is hard.

I didn't say anything about filters. It is a PITA on a PowerBoost since its almost flush among all the other crap installed around it, But I can get to it with a Filter Socket and swivel just by laying on the ground with the truck at stock height.

how many years before the rubber cracks in the cold winter and lets the oil out?

In my situation? It will prolly outlive me. I'm using nylon braided Automotive hose with a braided nylon outer cover designed for use in the AN system. The hose is vacuum rated and its max pressure of 400psi is rated from -40 degrees to 300. More than enough for where I live. Its also rated to be used on nearly all automotive fluids. Keep in mind in my application it sees nearly no pressure at all. Regardless, AN fittings and hose have been used in automotive for decades now. In military much longer. Its good stuff. Obviously steel tubing with AN fittings is better, But this is far from your Napa rubber hose.

or the rubber hose gets nicked or bitten by a mouse?

How is that different than any other hose on a vehicle? Couple that with zero pressure and the nylon braiding and cover? Not worried about it at all. And if something happened that did make me worried about it? Stainless steel braiding, but I didn't think that was necessary.

What kind of vacuum system is needed? Bicycle pump deal? This sounds like a messy hassle, that and depending on the ID of the hose you won't even get all of the old oil out.

Any fluid vac you want. I even keep an AN-6 5/16 hose barb adaptor in the truck that can be connected to any system. For that matter, with an inside diameter of roughly .300, a tech could just shove their vac hose right down my line if they wanted. And no, There wouldn't be any mess at all. Zero, other than the filter. As far as remaining oil, yes, You will get more out of my system than you ever will going down the dipstick of any vehicle. That being said, There will prolly be .1 of oil in the bottom of the pan. Being I change my oil at 5k instead of 10k, I'm ok with that. I could change my oil out where its parked during lunch. Totally ok with leaving a half quart behind. I consider that a convenience fee.

Fumoto quick drain valve and a skid plate with access hole for the win.

If that works for you, Fantastic. Not everyone wants to go down that route. My goal was to not have to get the truck up on a hoist. Now, I don't even have to use ramps.

Wow I am 6'5" and 300 pounds. Hard to imagine a fella bigger than that. I missed this point that you are very very large.

Those snap nuts will rattle and make noise at full torque, this did bother me.

Ahh - powerboost. I missed that. Didn't realize it was a PITA. My mistake.

I would be concerned with temp swings from +260F - down to -10F or -20F in the Winter - every time you drive it. Single temp is one thing, but cycling those temps every time you drive it would concern me.

How is that different than any other hose on a vehicle? Couple that with zero pressure and the nylon braiding and cover? Not worried about it at all. And if something happened that did make me worried about it? Stainless steel braiding, but I didn't think that was necessary.

Name 1 car manufacturer that uses a hose to route oil from the factory? - I do not know of any, Ford certainly does not.

Ok so an oil extractor is $150 to $200 - or did you get the cheap hand pump one for $69? You could have put this towards the skid plate with access hole. (again didn't realize you were huge-r than myself)

I use ramps and find them easy. I wouldn't need to use ramps - no lift kit and again I'm 6'5 300 pounds and can fit under there fine. I guess that makes sense. I didn't realize you were that huge. You can still get the Talons skid plate. ;) Didn't mean to upset you. I hope it works well for you. Sometimes folks don't realize there is more than 1 way...

There are rubber lines all over your truck for both engine oil and trans oil, especially for the coolers. Those are seeing pressure on top of it.

I wouldn't know how high to fit underneath it. I always use a 10K 2 post lift. I was just saying as an example if I was going to use jacks or ramps. (I Dont own either) Why crawl under it if you can pick it up? Sometimes the lift is busy though, and I already had the vac, So why not?
