I may be wishful thinking; however, after having my speedometer corrected for the bigger tires my mpg has gone up way more than the % difference. In other words, I installed Recon Grappler 275/65r20 116T the day I took delivery of my truck. The difference in size from stock to the Recons is 3.3%. Now having the Speedo corrected, my mpg has gone up MORE than the 3.3%. For instance, my 16 mile commute to my office this morning showed 30.1mpg. The best I have ever been able to achieve going to work was 27 plus the 3.3% (.891) = 27.9mpg. That was the best after 18,500 miles! It’s not just today, but every day since I’ve had the Speedo corrected. I’m not a mechanic, but the only way I think that can happen (if it really is happening) is the RPMs May correlate with the speedometer? Just curious if anyone know how that could be possible? Has anyone else experienced this?

Calculate it manually, that more accurate than the lie-o-meter.

My daily trip to work never changes. Traffic, speed, stop lights, etc. do. My mpg will vary between 20.5 - 27.0 just depending on circumstances. But doing the same route every day allows me to calculate an average which is 23.4. This is a calibrated and calculated amount.
Also, my speedo is 1-2 mph high, verified with three different GPS apps on my phone. I didn't bother adjusting the speedo but I did adjust the trip calculator AFE Fuel bias which is what adjusts your average mpg. I've had two F-150's since 2018 and both were set at a default value from the factory. After adjustment, I got my trip computer to be within .2-.4 mpg. Again, it varies a bit just due to what kind of driving you encounter. But it's far better than the 1.2-1.5mpg optimistic reading you get from the factory.
You can make these adjustments by entering engineering mode.

I've been using fuelly to track mileage. It is always significantly lower than the dashboard readout. I also added 275/65/20 recons to my platinum and haven't corrected in forscan yet. From your post, I would love to get another 10% from my EB. My mileage sucks, but most of my trips are probably 5-10 miles or less and not much freeway.

My fuelly tracks with yours. I'm consistently in the 17s-18s. Only changes to my truck are same size tires, but higher offset wheels. My trips are 6 miles round trip to work mostly. So very short trips.

I'm usually around 16 on the dash and 15 on fuelly. Again, barely any freeway and very short trips, so I kind of expect it. When I do get on the freeway, I can see that I can get up around 20 if I keep it 65 mph, but going above 70 and it drops like a rock. And going up any slight hill or any increase in throttle and it starts getting into the boost. 3.5EB 4x4 with 3.31 gear. I sometimes wonder if I would actually get better mileage with 3.55 or locking out 9 and 10th gear. The truck doesn't get driven much since we have an '06 bmw 330i that we drive most of the time. So maybe the mileage will get a little better with additional miles. 4000 right now.

Tracks with me but I'm on a powerboost 4x4 with the long bed. I've basically got one of the heaviest trucks from factory too as my payload is abysmal. (It's like 1250 lbs or something) so I assume that isn't helping at all either. Above 70mph and i get 18mph on the freeway.

How do you have a speedometer corrected? Interesting

Short trips won’t let the engine come up to good operating temps. You’ll always run most inefficiently on a cold engine. But going easy on the throttle on acceleration a little goes a long way in increasing overall mpg.
The hybrid loves to GO. I sometimes don’t realize how quickly I’m accelerating.

When did they offer the long bed? In 21 you could only get a 5.5 or 6.5’ bed.
Also, the higher the trim level, the heavier the truck. So less payload unfortunately.
my shorted XLT 4x4 has just shy of 1700lbs.

I’m at 39k now and the mpg did improve over time. Believe it or not, if you watch your driving coaches and try to change your habits, the truck will reward you. Remember, the computers learn your driving style and adapt to make the best use of it. Smooth driving doesn’t mean slow driving.
I’ve found 71-72 mph is the sweet spot for my truck. On the highway I’ll draft semi’s that are going fast to catch some help and that is an easy 3-4 mpg on a long trip.

I experienced the same thing when I put on larger tires, and my mpg went up slightly on the dash. I corrected the tire size in forscan pretty much immediately, but was also getting a dtc that upon further research was related to the tire size being outside of the range the truck's computer is programmed to accept. I assume that this is the cause of the improper mileage calculation.

Sorry meant standard bed. Longer than the normal short bed

May I ask how you got your speedomter corrected and what are you rpm’s at 75mph?
