if your tongue weight exceeds 500 pounds you will need a weight distribution hitch. Right now it looks like you should be under that. Get the factory trailer brake controller and the tow mirrors. Even if you don’t tow the tow mirrors are great.
I loaned my F-150 to a close friend a few years ago. He need to pull a car trailer a few hundred miles. He rear ended another vehicle. He said “don’t worry, I won’t put it on your insurance.” He did have my truck fixed and he paid cash for it (about 2k). However the people he hit sued me since...
21 F150 XLT and a 23 F250 Lariat Diesel 7700 per year. Clean driving records, no claims, good Fico. We are in our 60’s. Agent says it’s like being under 25 again. They think old people are a risk. I fly an airliner all over the world and teach performance driving, but I’m a risk.
My Brothers 2023 went dead. Dealer replaced the AGM battery Under warranty. you say 7 months, was that since purchase or since it was built?
The service guy said they are having some reliability problems with the AGM batteries.
I have both an F150 3.5 (wife’s vehicle) and a F250 6.7.
The F250 uses less fuel and has a 3000 payload. I get 20 mpg in the city and 13 towing with the diesel. The F150 gets 15 in the city and 7-8 towing. I use premium fuel in the 150 when towing per the manual. We tow a 28’ Airstream with...
Payload is your limitation here. 1288 is really low. all those options like moonroof (68 pounds), electric running boards (37 pounds) etc. They rob payload. The bed liner and bed cover will reduce payload too.
I'm assuming you are getting a vintage airstream since it is a 24. The only thing new...
The PDI guy (who I know) asked if I wanted them on. I said sure. He laughed and said about 50% bring the truck back to have them installed. I then told him I would do it to keep my man card lol.
A rubber mallet and Astroglide will get them right on.
I also use the Garmin RV790 GPS. I compare it with Ford and google. Plus, I carry a road atlas.
Be sure to make sure the “use 4x4 roads” selection is turned off in the Ford Nav preferences.
