Wow! What an exciting development. I am taking my shitbox in ASAP!
My understanding based on what I've read elsewhere is that it will need to go to the dealer and won't be an OTA update.Did they say if it will be an OTA update for all, or a bring it in update?
Like the abbreviation, SSN! Like many here I've had this occur four times since January. My local Service Advisor called and informed me that Ford has a fix, to bring it in. Fingers Crossed.Could we finally have a solution? I read this today in a Facebook group I'm in. TSB23-2317 for those smarter than me.

No, do not touch the orange cables. There's an aux 12v battery under the back of the passenger side rear seat in the black box. First thing's first, just connect to the under-hood battery and charge it up (charges aux batt automatically). From there just keep the HVAC blower on setting 5 to keep the batts fully charged -- it keeps voltage high so long as the key is in the truck and the driver's door closed (like driving, etc). You can also replace the under hood AGM with a quality after market batt and should have the same effect.Just bought a gently used 23 Platinum for a deal from a Chevy dealer and had the pleasure of joining this club. I'm guessing that's why it was traded in with less than 4,000 miles and the price was good. I'm happy to see there is a TSB out for it now. I used Forscan and cleared all the codes trying to get mine started again. I was surprised that didn't do the trick. Waiting an hour did.
But just in case the new flash does not fix the issue, when everyone refers to the both batteries, are we talking about the hybrid battery mounted under the front of the truck bed above the driveshaft? I looked for it out of curiosity before the problem started so I don't remember what it will be like to try and reach it to disconnect anything. Or is there another, more accessible spot to disconnect it?
I would recommend taking it in to the dealership so they can perform the required software updates. A TSB was released for this issue a couple of weeks ago so they should be able to address it now.I’ve had the no start “stop safely now” three times now. Twice with the factory ford battery, then the dealership changed the battery to a Napa AGM, and it’s happened after the dealership changed the battery. It still isn’t fixed.

Yes, I saw about the TSB. Truck has been at Ford since Saturday. They called Saturday afternoon and said they hoped it was as simple as the TSB flash, but that didn't fix it. They were trying to update some modules yesterday, but the dealer internet was having issues so I'm still waiting to find out more. There’s a fix out for this. Call your local ford dealer
Quality has become a bad word, if you even hear it. And the apathy over a good job is rampant. I step off my soap box now.So sad.
The degradation of the level of competency across so many industries, but none more than the automotive service industry, is hard to believe.
