23 Wireless Charger

Does anyone have the storage bin part number for a 23MY? The WACM itself is new for 23MY and the ML3Z-1513594-B cannot be the right part. The WACM has a different attachment strategy than 21 and 22. If someone is rooting around in there doing a different mod can you snap a picture for me please.

I think that’s why he’s asking for the part number from a ‘23- it was redesigned. I think it actually has a fan and vent holes. I know the one in my ‘23 Lariat works pretty well. No issues with overheating unless I’m an idiot and forgot my phone is in there and close the compartment door.

I found on my 22 with car play in use the charger can not keep up … I now have a usb c mag safe charger that I use now.

The wireless charger on my 23 Limited does not have any ventilation or fan. I've though about adding a fan to the cubby. Adding a fan and holes to the charger doesn't seem possible on mine.

If it is a 23 it does. Take a picture of the charger and I can tell if it does. The fan is on the back side of the charger. I will take a picture of the module later and post it in here.

I think I have it but need to confirm because I cant seem to find one anywhere for sale. ML3B-15045M68-B. I will check with the dealership later.

IIRC, I believe there are 3 different versions used and only 1 has a fan

Interestingly enough, was in the Starbucks drive thru (don’t judge me), turned off the radio and a/c. You can definitely hear what sounds like a fan. Take off the phone, it shuts off. Put the phone back and it switches back on.

Still gets hot when charging and streaming a YouTube video to listen to when driving haha

If you can hear the fan you will want to pop the charger off with a trim stick, remove the tear tape and move the harness out of the fans way. They should be silent.

It’s not loud by any means, it’s like a really really really soft hum. You have to look for it.

There may or may not be a fan on the backside of the module but there is no provision for cooling a phone that is charging on the pad.

2023 has a new style wireless charger. Has a fan on the back. Blows air to the back side of the phone I believe. May pull air but I’m not too sure. I just know there is a fan and the holes are to move air. I was going to upgrade my 21 to the 23 but they are on indefinite back order
