Wanted to give this a while before I posted about it. Well just past a year with it so I can say overall it's a success. The only issue is when the dash says OAT is over 100F. The thermal protection kicks in until the A/C cools the cab down.
I can say it took a dousing with 12oz of coffee and kept going. Good charge rate with my Iphone SE 3rd edition in a plastic case. You have to drill two holes to install the way I did. If you wanted to put it in the forward cubby no drilling required. Can't see the hole, it's under the charger.
So here's what it looks like
It's plugged in to the port in the forward cubby you can just see the red wire on the left
