Interesting while I locked my truck, I failed to close the rear door completely.
truck knew. Wife told me it was beeping.
But there were no alerts on FordPass. When wife told me, tried to lock via app. Told me truck was locked but door was slightly open.

Got 4.2.4 in the parking lot at work today. Securialert is gone. If we just randomly removed features from our software like that, we'd never hear the end of it

Still not sure what the 4.2.x series has given me.
These updates are future proofing your truck so that future updates will be able install more easily, thus updates like these updates, make your F-150 a better truck more capable of handling more complicated updates to the updating system. So enjoy your new updates! :ROFLMAO:

I've received a few "You're Rolling With The Latest Ford Power-Up" messages in the Ford app. The last two are dated May 5th and May 8th. I click on the "Update Details" button and all that happens is my Chrome browser opens. I don't get any details. I haven't a clue where I'm at with updates. Good thing I'm content with whatever I have.

You're not alone, there is something broken in the link between the FordPass notification and the actual notification text on Ford's cloud server.

if you go to the truck and go to auto updates and then view details you will see the update details. The issue happens in the app only.

My 2021 has been rolling through the updates in the last week. Before that I hadn't got one since September. Mine updated to 4.2.1 yesterday while I was sitting in a parking lot waiting on my wife.
I still haven't gotten fuckin anything. I'm on on like 2.7 something. Been working with someone from ford via email who is a IVT Escalation specialist. They say they're submitting tickets to the OTA team but I haven't had much of a response. Getting quite tired of it. Pay this much for a truck I expect better.

Yes, but this only shows details for the most recent update, I don't believe you have the ability to scroll back and see the details of previous updates. In Fordpass notifications if you don't delete them, you can look back at the details of every update you received in chronological order based on when you received them. :) ;)

I just received 4.2.3 yesterday. I do have one question, is your battery fully charged? Is your start/stop working. It seems my updates starting rolling in when I swapped batteries.

Guess what? I got 4.2.4 early this morning after topping off my gas last night!
OTA conspiracy theory number 472: certain branded fuel, and RON number will trigger OTA update!?

You have two APIM updates sitting in your queue right now. There are no release notes on it, so I can't see which update it is. Something does not seem right here. Your last OTA attempt was 2.6.0 and it failed. This update, however, is a different one. You had the same APIM update sent to you on 5/2, and it was cancelled by the mothership. Probably because it realized that it is not the update your truck needs.

When was the last time you started and drove your truck?

I had foot surgery last week and I haven't driven or started the truck for 8 days.. I did start the truck yesterday morning around 7:45 am and let it be on till it timed itself out after 30 minutes..
Then at 9:08 am I received a notification in Ford Pass that 4.2.4 had been installed..

I am guessing it was queued up waiting for me to start the truck so the battery could be charged and then install?

It worked for me. I bought premium Costco gas and the OTA constipation cleared right up. The only problem is that now the truck seems to have OTA diarrhea. Four updates in two weeks. I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but I did the manual FDRS/Mongoose updates at the same time...

For sure that was the case. Once the OTA queues up, turning the ignition on is what initiates the download/install process.

I drive it every day basically. I just don't drive far. Only work 11 mins away from home. The person I'm working with via email wants me to drive or run my truck for 45mins to an hour today and set update for 1 am Tomorrow. So I figured I'll let it just run in my driveway for 45 to an hour before work today.

Much appreciate you looking at that for me too.

Your truck is a curious case. Going back on my posts with you and looking a bit deeper at your case, I checked your truck back in early April and you were on Sync 20301. Now your Sync version is blank in PTS. What Sync version does your touchscreen say your truck is on? When 2.6.0 was sent to you, it failed due to a software mismatch. Usually this happens when your truck is sent an update it already has. That would explain why you are getting a different APIM sent to your truck now that is newer than 2.6.0. If your truck is on Sync 20301 and you are getting OTA's sent, that would the first time I ever see that. The fact that there is no update number on it at all makes me wonder if this is some kind of OTA that Ford is sending out to try to fix trucks stuck on 20301? I am going to ask Jesse to take a look to see what he thinks.
