Since the last OTA update my iPhone is not always connecting with CarPlay. It is usually good in the morning or if I leave my truck for an hour or more. However, if I were to stop for gas, go the grocery store, etc., it never connects. I removed the phone from the truck and truck from the phone, then proceeded to reestablish a new connection. Same behavior.

Is anyone else having CarPlay connections like I described? Do you have a fix?

It has been discussed.
I'm not apple, but I think a couple of guys found a work around based on timing of some kind?

They either delayed the Bluetooth connection intentionally, or something similar.

Wireless or wired? If it’s wired, I’ve experienced times where it won’t connect for some reason or another. If wireless, I have no clue as I’ve never used wireless CarPlay.

I've recently noticed the same issue with my truck. Wireless carplay works most of the time, but sometimes won't connect. The phone does connect with the standard bluetooth connection. when I try to manually launch carplay, it just says cannot connect. This started after I got the 4.2.1 update last week.

When it happens I simply disable CarPlay on my phone and then turn it back on. Connects Evey time I do that. I should have posted back.
