I work at a JLR dealer now. Even then, I am in sales....I am not a tech. Being an Android user, I can't say I am very familiar with your issue, but I can tell you the connectivity is less than perfect with the Android product, too. I will get a chime that a text came in, but nothing shows on the touchscreen. Random glitching when streaming music where is cuts off for a second and then comes back on (this has gotten better after the latest Android Auto update my phone got). It will randomly disconnect from my phone completely from Android Auto, but bluetooth will still be connected. Audio delays in comparison to what I am seeing on my phone screen.

I can't wait until I have the time to install my Naviks HDMI interface and have everything just work.

If it works like any of their other products I have had in the past, I am sure I will be happy with it. Using it to fully integrate the phone with HDMI to the screen, and to add a wireless camera onto the back of my boat for when I am trailering it. Two birds; one stone.

$300 per hour at a Ford dealership?

At that rate I expect a whole nuther level of customer service and expectations.

Lol I work at a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer. A brand new $115 million dollar facility. I haven't worked for Ford for over 6 years.

With that said, in this market, the labor hours at my local Ford dealers are not far behind that number.

Edit: Matter of fact, the labor rates Ford dealers here charge to work on diesel vehicles is higher than what we charge at a high end store.

It was sent to you late January, but as has happened to many, it failed to download the files and timed out. Nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent to you again and hope it goes through the next time.

Good morning. I found this forum while researching OTA’s I think I may be in a similar situation. Here’s my current situation. 2021 F150 King Ranch Fx4 5.0, purchased May 2021

Last update shows to be 3.5.2 from Oct of last year. Cameras with speed work just fine. All updates prior to this came through OTA just fine (2.8.1 was tough and required a new battery to make it work)

Called the OTA support line this week and was told that I have “several updates available, and multiple error codes showing”. They were very nice and told me to take the truck to the dealer for further troubleshooting. After reading various threads here, I’m starting to see a pattern, and I’m not too hopeful that my dealer will be of any help.

I’m fairly comfortable with the idea of diy FDRS updates and wanted to join this great forum in case I need assistance in the future. Gonna try the dealer option and see how that goes, but preparing for a Mongoose purchase in the near future.

If anyone wants to take a look here’s my VIN. 1FTFW1E55MFA99680

Update: Truck is at the dealer as of this morning. They did a master reset that booted me out of my Ford pass app, so I guess I will have to reconnect once I get the truck back. Service Tech said they did two recalls (wiper motor and arm) and were trying to update the APIM as of 4pm.

Hopefully tomorrow has better news.

It's too bad they did the master reset.
Unless they knew exactly what to accomplish doing so, it's just a fishing exercise.
And if you previously had securilert and zone Lighting, you don't now.

Of course that was not their intention. But still, it doesn't address what they are going to be fixing.

The did your APIM and TCU yesterday which gave you the equivalent of 3.5.3 and 3.5.4. You are now on Sync 22294 and up to date as far as 2021 trucks go. You may still have some other module updates pending that they didn't do, but as far as getting you to date with current OTA's, you're good to go.

There could be some minor priority updates you haven't gotten yet, but nothing you need to worry about if your truck is at Sync 22293. You're good to go.

again there’s verbiage in the update notification that they may have updated these releases some.
I just got 22-PU1009-TLC-CSM today and its installing as I write this. It says 10-12 minutes non-drivable.

Here's my total sequence now:
Purchased used 10/23. Didn’t know what version it was on.
12/2/22: 2.7.3
3/15/23: 2.7.4
3/22/23: 2.8.1
3/23/23: 22-PU0727-VI-FXB (Bluecruise enabled)
3/25/23: 22-PU0707-SCH-POPB
3/27/23: 3.5.2
3/30/23: 3.5.3
4/3/23: 3.5.4
4/11/23: 22-PU1009-TLC-CSM
