12 Volt receptacle in Powerboost?

I have looked at the owner's manuals but I cannot find where the F-150 XLT Powerboost has a 12 Volt DC receptacle (we use to call them cigarette lighter plugs). If I need to plug in a 12 volt gadget, would I then purchase a separate inverter plug? And will that mess with the current electronics?

There is one in the back on all trucks. Only certain optioned vehicles have them in the front. I believe 2.4kW ProPower models all have them up front, only bench seat 7.2kW models have it in the front.

PB doesn't have 12v socket. It's got 3 USB hybrid sockets (A/C) and 2 120v power outlets in cab.

IIRC, non-PB’s have a 12v socket inside the center console as well, but we get another 110v outlet instead.

I believe it is tied to the 7.2kW Pro Power configuration only, not all Powerboosts.

If you have the 7.2kW, then you get the 20A front plug. That requires the circuit breaker, which replaces the front 12VDC socket.

I keep finding more new and fun things about my truck. It was a custom order that was apparently built incorrectly and the guy refused to take delivery of it. They don't even offer my wheels on the Ford build site anymore.

Unrelated to the topic, but I bought my 2021 PB slightly used (only 15000 miles). Unlike your situation, the truck is loaded with extra features (beyond the factory). Floor liners, bed floor liner (in addition to the spray-in liner), a tonneau cover, and larger tires with blacked-out rims. Like your situation, I am stunned at why someone would get rid of a truck after putting in so many miles. But, I enjoy every moment. It's a pleasure to drive.

This isn't correct. My MY22 PB XLT 302A definitely has a 12V receptacle up front.

As you’ve seen, they do exist, but they’re much less prevalent than past vehicles. I think that you could plug in an inverter without any risk to the other electronics. Another option is to see if you can find a USB-based adapter, since I believe that USB plugs are natively 12 volt.

I’ve had to go out and replace some of my old cigarette-plug based gear (air compressor, etc) to work on AC current, since those are the plugs that I’m likely to have access to in an emergency.

Yeah, you're right; I hadn't had my coffee yet. USB is 5v, I believe. Either way, there are adapters available to utilize the USB plugs that are all over modern F150s.
