Wondering if the front sensors can be used to accurately park my truck in the same place every time in my limited space situation?

Oh, I need to know this, for sure! I have about 10 inches of room if I put the truck on the rear wall.

Yes...I have a "small" garage compared to alot of people on here and a solid tone gives me the perfect amount of comfort space with my tow ball extending beyond my receiver. I'll post a pic in a min.

Unfortunately, on my truck, they’re way too cautious to use for tight parking. They start beeping when you are about 4’ away from something and you still have between 2’ and 18” when it becomes a solid warning tone, or red on the touchscreen.

Same for the side facing sensors, they’re more for warning you about things than helping you park. I wish there was a ‘city’ mode where you could set them to be more sensitive if you are moving really slowly. I don’t know what giant parking spots Ford thinks everyone has but I am not impressed by the factory settings of the front or rear sensors.

Oh my wife's infiniti just screams at you in our garage, but the 360 view is great for tight parking! I put bright tape on the floor so that I can see it in the camera and use as a guide. She refuses to use it which is mind boggling to me, but I can attest the 360 view you can get same spot every time if you place bright strips that can be seen in dim lighting.

I currently use a laser parking for my garage to get same spot every time but it will be invaluable in every other parking lot or garage.

I am currently using just the back up camera and the tone to put my Tacoma in the garage. Likely do the same with the F-150, but it is good to know that it will work pretty accurately. My wife uses a proximity device with a stop light on the wall (green, yellow, red) which works great once the correct distance is set. May use that on my side too.

That sounds really cool!! I will look that up, maybe my wife and daughter will use that so my dogs don't jump and grab the hanging tennis balls.

I am looking forward to my 360 cams but in my current XLT I had to use wooden parking blocks taped on the concrete floor so that I back in as far as possible.

Why so far in? Because it STILL sticks out into the aisle! And this is my assigned spot, I could not find anyone that would trade assigned spots to be less dangerous.

This is why I just roll my eyes when someone says "jUSt gEt aN f250!" whenever F150 owners start talking about towing and payloads. No, YOU get an F250 and have fun parking it in cities with parking garages.

Haha I walk around the front. I'm def going to get a b&w stow n go eventually. 2" drop doesn't cut it anymore on a stock truck.

That parking job makes my palms sweat.

When I was just using the camera, I was too chicken and kept getting like 3" from the wall! I put the wood blocks and for 3 years there has been zero sweat parking within 1" of the wall. I would not put that in my house garage because of trip hazard but in that garage it is absolutely perfect.
