Here you go.

Hmmm. That CMR update could be why my Bluecruise works so crappy. I need to reconfig my IMPA & cameras. I think I'll have dealer do that for me when I take it in for maintenance. It's due anyway. Thanks.

That's the list of updates that haven't been applied.

I guess I should have made that a bit clearer. When someone asks for a VIN check I use FDRS to provide a list of any outstanding available updates.

These are updates that the Ford engineers have deemed desirous to update, but whether they will be an OTA or whether they will be done by a tech (or DIY) using FDRS is down to whether you're having an issue that would cause one or more of them to be updated under warranty (by the tech)...or whether they just sit there in the list forever waiting to be applied. Ford does not provide updates for modules 'just because'. There had to have been a reason they thought a module update needed to be provided. That doesn't mean your dealer tech is just going to do them all when they show up in the list...they aren't getting paid to do that.
Thank you for taking the time to review this and do the lookup!

I can show you what updates you have available in FDRS...I can't see OTA status.

Have that battery checked. It just probably needs replacement. Many of them went bad in the first year (mine lasted 3 months).

Here's the list for today:

How do you or anyone else suggest I deal with the battery issue. Initally, the dealer told me the battery tested fine. I doubt they did anything other than the quickest high level check possible. My truck stopped taking OTA updates (it would fail, numerous times, then ultimately stopped trying), the auto stop/start feature never works, the interior light sometimes comes on when I open the door, sometimes not, got an error message about the parking break issue, and many times, even after a long drive, when I turn the ignition off, the message on the screen says it is shutting down the systm to save the battery.

The thing is, if the battery is not testing bad, they aren't going to replace it because they can't bill Ford for it under warranty without a test result showing the battery is bad. Your battery is not the reason you are not getting OTA's. I would see the update in your history being sent and failing if that was the case. You just have not gotten an updates sent to you because Ford's OTA process is garbage.

After looking at your DTC's again, I do see something in there that MAY be causing you issues. I am not a tech, so take it for what it is worth. I do see your truck is consistently throwing out two codes that caught my eye. If I am reading this right, your TCU and GWM are having issues talking to each other. Codes U0146 and U0241 keep popping up and have been recorded on your truck's history for months. It could be nothing, but it could be something.

As @rugedraw has pointed out there are DTCs (error codes) your truck is throwing. Start with the service advisor/manager and ask them to pull your VIN in PTS *while you're standing there* the same way @rugedraw has done in his screengrab. The two of you should be able to look over the 'connected vehicle' screen together and have this discussion.

Then ask them to explain why you're getting those errors and what they're going to do about them. And then add in all the stuff you talked about with the battery issues as sort of the sprinkles on top.

Now the service advisor was telling me, before I read this, that I would potentially have to wait until the end of next week to have this diagnosed. I suggested just buying the battery myself and having them install any missed updates and seeing what happened. He then suggested maybe having someone reset the battery BMS, to see if that would do anything. What do you guys think?

Resetting the BMS won't hurt, but again, your truck is not reporting any DTC's for low battery voltage as it is, so I don't see why that would help.

I pointed out all of the DTC codes and he agreed that resetting the BMS will not address those issues. Says that a master tech needs to pull these codes then go from there regarding what needs to be done to address them. Is it normal to have to wait a week or two for an official diagnostic? They will not even provide a rental while I wait. They say they need an official covered diagnostic before rentals are provided. Not sure what good the rental option is with the extended warranty. I guess I will need to rent my own car.

I know things are backed up, so yes, it is possible. The only way they will look at it right away is if the repair order is opened as you being a "waiter" which means you are sitting in the waiting room waiting for your truck. If you are just leaving it there, they will put you in queue behind other people that have left their cars there for whatever reason prior to you leaving yours.

Yes, that is correct. Ford will only for a rental once your truck has been diagnosed with an issue.

My truck is a 2021 Job1 Lariat that sat in the "Chip Shortage Lot" for 7 months and I had battery issues all the time. Everyone said replace it but this is what I did.
  1. Disconnect your negative terminal and charge your battery over night (8+ hours) on the 2amp setting.
  2. Reconnect you battery and perform a BMS Reset
    1. Get in vehicle, close doors
Turn on ignition - BUT DON'T START
Wait for battery light to come on
      Flash your brights 5 times
Press and release the brake 3 times
Battery symbol on dashboard should flash after 5-10 seconds
      Your Done
  3. Start you truck and let it re-learn the idle before you drive.
  4. Drive your truck for 30 miles and see if the Auto Stop/Start works. If it does good next step, if not, buy a new battery.
  5. If all good you need to let the truck sit 8 hours in sleep mode, with the vehicle undisturbed, no doors opened or keyless entry buttons pressed to calibrate the battery state of charge to high accuracy.
  6. Next day drive your truck for 30 miles and see if the Auto Stop/Start still works, all good, if not, buy a new battery.

You also need to make sure your truck is going to sleep. When it does, you should hear the relays clicking / shutting down. If you don't this is you problem, I know first hand. I installed the LED Projectors in my truck and grabbed power for the HCM from another module and it didn't let the truck shut down.

My daily drive is around 25 miles which seems to be the minimum needed to keep the charging system happy. If my truck sits for more the 3 days my Auto Stop/Start wont activate. It take a few days of driving before it's happy again.

Don't know if this is the fix but it won't hurt to try. Some good reading material attached to.

Hey all! First post here. I have been going through and reading a lot of the threads though...
Just curious if the VIN requests are still being watched?

1FTFW1ED0NFB02445 - 2022-05-13 build date

My new 2022 PB, it appears to have some of the latest OTA updates since it is showing Amazon Alexa, but not seeing the Apple Car Play full screen option?

Just curious about what other updates are available.
Thanks!

Here's the list of available updates:

I think that APIM update is what you're looking for. Should show up as an OTA if it's in your software list now.

The other updates, not so much.

No OTA history in the past 60 days, so I don't know if you received 3.5.2 yet, but if you did, 3.5.3 is the next update and that will give you full-screen capability. No OTA in your queue at this time.

No OTA history for the past 60 days and nothing in your queue. You being a 2021 owner, I can't see if you are up to date with the older updates, but based on your current Sync version, I think you are up to date or very close to it.
