Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit - updated with information

Every Lariat I have seen online with the heated wheel has the power memory steering column and it looks like this part number is no exception according to the pictures on fordparts.com. Can you just take the turn signal stalk off the existing clockspring? This is for my dad's 2023 lariat with manual adjustment column and no rain sensing wipers. The one I got for my 302A came from boosted grey goose, but it doesn't look like it has the whole assembly part number on it.

I’m in the same boat, and I believe that you just swap the turn signal stalk and buttons for wheel position, but I am still waiting on Ford to ship my truck that has been built for over a month so I cannot confirm yet

@Iceman2022 @B-real You can either swap the turn signal stalk or just remove the powered steering column controls. I chose to swap the stalk over since I bought a used SCCM and it was one less thing I had to worry about being bad. Just keep in mind that if you don’t have auto wipers you’ll want to swap the stalk anyways

YMMV. I email them a few times without response. I sent him a private message over on the other ford f150 forum without response asking the same question. I then ordered the wires to make my own.

Could you share exactly what you ordered? Did you get the pins etc? I’m more than down to make my own. I had a similar experience with communication from them. I did get the harnesses from them when I added power folding mirrors and LED tails. And those are nice.

I think my wife thinks she's funny or something, i've been complaining about my non heated wheel and this is what she buys me for christmas....

problem solved i guess? LOL

My wife did the same thing... will not let me touch anything electrical! I know enough to screw it up but not enough to fix it.

I got this completed and i must say it's damn nice. and just in time for our - degree weather.

one question though, I left the auto wiper stalk and bought the rain sensor. i've turned on everything i can find referencing rain sense wipers and am getting an error on the SCCM and they don't seem to be working.

My truck was pre-wired, (well it had the connector up by the mirror anyway) for the sensor so i figured it's be "simple" to add

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Just search the spreadsheet for anything with the word rain in it, then see and compare how trucks that come with it are configured.

Looks like that might already be set to 7 regardless, but check this one as well and try to enable RSM_Present, set to C most likely

I’m curious, why did you decide to trick your truck into thinking it’s a SD instead of doing the climate bar at the bottom?

Enabling climate bar isn’t working on mine. Unreal theme does but the climate bar change does nothing.

Yeah, I actually did have a 7 in there and I have the C in the one right above. I realized I didn’t do a BCM Lin initialization but even doing that now then clearing the dtc in the sccm and it comes right back. I guess the only thing I haven’t done was check the connector for power.
