I like the fact the 2wd trucks actually come this way from the factory. If you use 2wd unbolts and bumpstops you have lowered it 1.25” with all factory parts. I see no reason to use shackles unless you want more drop.

We pulled the blocks on my dads truck 25k miles ago and it’s completely fine. It was a crew cab and the blocks are dead flat so. I worries about pinion angles.

I am assuming if the blocks are pulled on a CCD vehicle the CCD will need to be recalibrated via forscan?

2WD U bolt part number is

ML3Z5705A

I just was at the dealer and confirmed the part number on 4 different 2WD F150s. All were SCREW models.
So annoying! Why do they cost 5x more than 4WD u bolts? Makes no sense.

Just cut them if you want shorter. I left my 4x4 u bolts as I wasn't sure if I wanted to put the blocks back in (that was 9 months ago).

All appear to be 31mm or about 1.25". At the center, but there is a different taper for the different wheelbases for pinion angle.

Anyone know the size difference between the three types of rear blocks?

Would be awesome if one of them was ~1.0".

FWIW the OE spacer on my 145" WB 4x4 supercab 3.5EB with one-piece driveshaft ....

PN cast into the spacers (same L&R): 9L34-5A799-BB

Thickness: 1-7/32" (1/32" shy of 1-1/4")

Taper: 0 degrees (determined by placing the block on a known true flat table with a 4ft straightedge centered on top; both ends of the straightedge measured 1-7/32" above the table surface)

This is what inquiring minds want to know. If calibration changes are needed for optimum operation, what’s the procedure?
I do see several settings in the VDM Module for height sensor endstops and height sensor calibration offsets but no idea of where to start.

FYI forum member @Snakebitten seems to be experimenting a bit with those VDM Module settings, perhaps search for his posts mentioning CCD / VDM to see if he has any useful insights.

Thanks, I have seen where he has had some good results bumping up the unsprung mass values. I will probably do the same especially since I will be putting on some Tremor wheel takeoffs that weigh just a tad more.
I remember seeing another post that height and endpoints may need adjusting but nothing further on the subject.

I have ONLY adjusted the values related to unsprung weight, as you stated. And the labels for each value is a bit confusing. The AsBuilt weight in Kilograms (for my Powerboost) is the same at the front corners for 2 different aspects, yet different at the rear. I simply increased the Kilograms an equal percentage for each definition.

So nothing edited regarding height. Nor was it necessary since I've done nothing to change the height other than a fraction of an inch higher in the rear with RAS set at about 50% of the recommended lower pre-load setting.

I am going to mess with the VDM "front wheel rate" to see if it is what it implies. If it is, it would make the front CCD damping rate easily tunable. I've just been lazy because I'm very happy with the truck running empty. :)

I removed the rear blocks on my 2022 with CCD suspension. Didn’t cause any issues, also did not require recalibration from the dealership.

Does anyone have the complete part number for the 1.25” spacer/block? I’d like to lower the rear of my tremor.

FWIW the number cast into the ~1.25" blocks removed from my Lariat is 9L34-5A799-BB

Unfortunately, 9L34-5A799-BB doesn’t show on any of the online part suppliers but eBay.

BL3Z-5729-B shows up but can’t confirm the size of it.

All three of those blocks are 4wd only.

The 2wd doesn’t have blocks, that’s why some people on the old model would use the 2wd U-bolts, just because they wouldn’t hang down as much. Some others just cut off the excess for a cleaner look. The 21’s have a curved top U-bolt, and the old ones were square so they aren’t interchangeable. After looking at mine, it does look like there is plenty of thread there to pull the blocks and use the existing bolts.
Do you know if anyone has dropped rear end on Powerboost yet? Because I'm considering it on my 2023 Lariat Powerboost.
