Will only show top right until you activate it then it’ll go away. Alexa should still be in your settings tile though.

How’s the cell reception at you place? My activation of Alexa, BC and NAV wouldn’t come through until I went somewhere with decent service. Wifi didn’t help either.

also notice that being in CarPlay may surpress the activation message for FP if anyone is having that issue.

Not working on mine either. I’ve tried everything to get it to show up. It’s shows activation pending in Fordpass.

He has an XLT. So his is different than OUrs.

starting the latest APIM now. wish me luck. had a misfire on a trip out west towing the airstream so the dealer in NM updated all modules except APIM… haha

Easy peasy update. Give yourself lots of time though and when it says to restart your truck to finish open the window, turn it off, close the doors, take your keys out and give it a good 30 minutes minimum to make sure it’s done. When complete if you just look in without opening the doors none of the USB lights or the front control button LEDs underneath the APIM should be on or flashing. Needs to be completely dark.

They were misaligned on their software. Hardware wise most if not all variants supported it but until this latest release they weren’t able to pull it across and display it on J1 builds.

If you don’t see the Alexa Icon in sync I know a master reset worked for me. Also don’t forget to remove your truck from the app first, remove it from your Bluetooth and CarPlay/Auto before doing the reset.

Sucks yes because you need to set everything back up. Also what’s cell service like where you are? That sometimes can delay it if the signal is low and the truck can’t reach the mothership. Don’t rely on wifi because I don’t think Ford has fully implemented it yet.

I had no problem. Everything worked fine. It's not about the cell service because Ford uses their own. Prob ATT. Mine is parked next to my garage and hooked up to wifi. I used FDRS to do it all.

My truck came with Alexa and the Alexa Blue Circle doesn't need to be populated in the top ribbon of the screen for her to be active. She's listening.

As soon as one of my little grandurchins calls her out, the blue circle pops up in the top ribbon. At least that's the way it normally works.
