It was for models that had issues with the tailgate. It’s “safe” but also not necessary if you don’t want to risk it

K, it seemed like my NAV settings were changed after the upgrade so I’ll double check that.

EDIT: Fixed. Country code was wrong changed to 5753 but switched it back to 5553

Jesse - This is why my country code was wrong. I changed this setting as it was to allow NAV in motion but that is also the country code string from what I've gathered. US is 5553

APIM: 7D0-03-01 -> 5753 - xxx - xx-- (change only the bolded numbers only for NAV in motion, leave the "x" alone).

Yeah I am not a fan of this change.

The country code is Hex To ascii. 5553 = US.

5753 = WS so the APIM freaks out in this particular update. I have seen Forscan changes in the PAIM cause various issues from the display being all messed up to what you experienced.

I get directions in motion on mine. I just have to tell it I am the passenger.

Lightning Yes. Not sure on the Mach E because its been on the same versio as our trucks and the Unreal engine was released in this update.

I just installed the monstrous APIM update to my 2021 Job 1 truck via FDRS - full screen CarPlay is now fully operational, but Alexa shows on the Ford Connected Services page as "activation pending". Anyone have any insights?

You need to do a master reset

If you did a master reset on your truck to gain alexa did securalert return after setting everythign up again?

I los tmine and jsut want to know. I care but dont care. Its weird. I hate it but I love it. I find it useless but dont like not having it.
Anyways.. If anyone could help me out and let me know. Multiple answers appreciated

I lost securalert with the update as well. I used it for late night and early weekend. Same feelings about it.

Which is pull the battery cable for a few minutes?

No master reset is in the settings.

settings
general
master reset while truck is running.
Then youll need to reactivate the truck in fordpass
Refresh fordpass app it will show activate.
Press activate
Once you do a Popup in the truck will show.

Accept and then it will all activate
