No. You don’t have to but the next set of updates won’t be released until a network scan has been done in fdrs or the truck self reports. I don’t know when it will self report. I haven’t figured that out

I have no doubt that you have been thorough and diligent looking for clues or patterns concerning these trucks self-reporting procedure.
Still, I'm amazed it's that illusive.

That wireless charger is garbage because they never thought about that huge camera bump on the back of phones preventing the charger from actually working.

But my older iPhone gets really warm, if it charges. Great as a hand warmer during a Northeast winter.

Yeah.. Really warm and less charge than it had when it went on.

Now this wasnt very scientific.. but I drove 10 mins yesterday after the update and tried the charger and got 2% in that drive. So that is way better than it was. I drove for an hour with my phone on the charger and it was ready to grill a steak and almost dead. Yesterday it charged and could still grill a steak. So we are getting better.

It will be more than the network scan at this point. I am willing to bet youll have several more updates after the APIM is shown as up to date. If youll have time to use it and get those done over the next two days then sure. The rest wont take nearly as long as this one did. The rest kick off pretty fast

I took my truck to the dealer for warranty work and gave specific instructions to not download ANYTHING and DO NOT UPDATE anything pending because I did all of the updates myself including Blue Cruise after the same dealer had my truck for 2 weeks in May and failed to update anything and of course when i picked up the truck yesterday they had on the repair order updates to the ECM.

Im pretty sure its BS and that they didn't download or update anything, I still have the latest and greatest sync version and had my vin checked a few weeks before I took it in and everything was up to date but i would just like to be sure

Thanks Mike for all your help. (you have saved me many FDRS logins since you took the baton. Lol)

But I think he was actually asking for a History lookup to see if a PCM update was actually applied?

GSM is worth doing. The update has been repaired. It now installs and clears normally.

Do not do the BCM. The GSM as JEB mentioned is good to go and the Wireless charger is geared towards iPhones that have magsafe.. I still think its worth doing regardless.

Thanks Jeb and Jesse, I'll do the GSM again and I do have an iPhone so I'll update the wireless charger as well and wait for them to straighten out the BCM

August 11th PTS light reading on a variety of FSA/TSBs.
August 12th PTS review of FSA 21S56 and connected vehicle check (for DTCs I assume?).
